How To Use Skill Books
Every demon you confine or fuse whiletaking up the helm as Raidou Kuzunohawill have a set of innate skills and attacks it will be able to learn based on its Demon Order and overall leveling. That said, there are plenty of ways to get new skills onto your support demons in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army that will easily come in handy in battle.
While you’re able to obtain new skills for your demons by leveling them up or fusing them differently with Victor over in the Goumaden, Raidou is able touse skill books in his inventory to teach demons new moves. You can do this at any time you’re able to access your main menu, even while in the Dark Realm, just not during actual battles.

When you use a skill book to teach a demon a new move in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army, the demon will need tolearn this new skill in three stages. The first is the most straightforward: after the first study session with a skill book, this demon will be able touse the move itself.
That said, you can’t pass that skill on if you’re fusing the demon quite yet - you’ll need to wait until your demons hitlevel twoof skill mastery before theycan pass this skill onwhen fusing with another demon in the Goumaden. If you’re trying to get creative with demon fusion, it’s good to ensure your demons can pass on all kinds of helpful skills.
Finally, you’ll see askill mastery systembelow each ability on a demon’s information page for these skills, which will be influenced not only bythe demon’s Orderand how it coincides with the Order of the move in the book, as well as byhow many study sessionseach given skill book requires - not all books were created equal, with more complex skills requiring more study to master.
There are alsoexceptionsto the skill book system - if a demon isn’t able to learn a skill for whatever reason, the game won’t let you waste the skill book trying to teach it. Additionally, if the demon in question eventually learns the skill from the skill book innately, having them use the skill book earlier will simply mastered upon reading.
Where Do You Get Skill Books?
There are a few different ways to get new skill books inRaidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army. You may have already noticed that the primary method of getting them is asrewards for confining demonswhile in battle. Even if your tubes are full or you’re not strong enough to confine in, demons still offer skill books as dropped loot upon trying to confine them.
As you battle with these newly-confined demons, you’ll be working tomax out a demon’s Loyaltyto Raidou, and when this happens, they’ll give you a small combat boost (like HP or MAG replenishment), as well as an item, which is very often a new skill book of something they already know innately.
If you’ve been keeping up with some of theoptional side missionsthroughout the game, you’ll no doubt have seen a few new skill books come in as rewards for things like Arial Rifts you’ve purged or Case Files you’ve addressed between major chapters of the game.
