A Minecraft Movie has been one of the biggest films of 2025 so far, withonly one movie making it more of it at the box office. If you skipped seeing it in theaters through fear thatthe cinema goers next to you might have brought a live chicken to the theaterwith them, you can now watch the movie for free in the comfort of your own home.
To qualify for a free digital copy of A Minecraft Movie, you need to submit your name, zip code, and email address onthe Papa Murphy’s sign-up page. There are no hidden fees, no charge for signing up, there doesn’t even appear to be a catch. Well, unless you consider it seemingly being US-only a catch, which I do because I live in the UK and have to continue paying for my cinematic chicken jockey access.
The only other thing you need to do isif you don’t have one already, but good news - that’s free too. If you aren’t familiar with Movies Anywhere, it’s effectively a platform on which you’re able to amass and easily keep track of your digital movie collection. A Minecraft Movie can now be a part of that collection for free.
The sign-up page doesn’t include how long this offer will be live. It does warn those who claim a code thatit will only be valid until July 25, 2025. That’s just how long you have to redeem the code, by the way. The movie won’t disappear from your library after that date. It’s yours to keep and watch forever.
For better or worse, A Minecraft Movie’s cultural impact was pretty incredible. Chicken Jockeys and Villagers are now a lot more famous than they were six months ago, andSteve’s Lava Chicken set a new record in the Billboard 100that might never be beaten.
