Summary

Oblivion Remasteredhas been a hit for so many years during the first monthsince it shadow dropped on Game Pass, taking everyone completely by surprise. However, one of the leading reasons fans of the original are so pleased with its remaster is because, in a lot of ways, the 2025 version of the game is just as broken as Oblivion was in 2006.

Nothing demonstrates that quite as perfectly as the clip below. Reddit userSlow-Environment-637shared gameplay onthe Oblivion subredditof them running through the game so quickly that you can’t see their feet move, and then leaping from the countryside and into the center of The Imperial City in a single bound.

It looks like some sort of mod that gives you The Flash and Hulk’s superpowers combined has been applied, but that’s not what’s happening here. The player claims there are no mods active at all, and that this is something that can be achieved naturally in the game. All you need to do islevel up your acrobatics and athletics to 15,000,and you too can run around Cyrodill like some sort of souped-up super soldier.

But Be Cautious With This Newfound Power

Okay, saying that’s all you need to do might be a bit of a stretch. Slow-Environment-637 has provided a breakdown of how exactly they made this happen, and it is incredibly convoluted. It starts with casting 100 percent reflect on touch on a summon, includes alternating between two 100 percent 120s magicka weaknesses on touch, and ends with you zipping around the map like you’ve invented teleportation.

If you want to put it to the test, you can finda detailed breakdown of how to make it happen here. Heed the warning below before you do it, though.

You might be asking yourself, “Well, why stop at 15,000?” and my answer to that would be to go back and watch the video above again. While the jumping looks like a lot of fun, the speed at which the player moves is already at a point where it’s almost impossible to control where you’re going.

Slow-Environment-637 noted that they cranked the experiment up beyond 15,000, and it was possible to quite literally zip from one side of the map to the other in the blink of an eye. Amusing, but at that point, the game becomes entirely unplayable.

If you’re wondering why people seem to be making discoveries like this faster than they did in the original, that’s because a lot more people are playing it. Oblivion Remastered was the best-selling game in April, shifting more copies in two weeks than the original managed in its first 15 months, and that doesn’t even account for those of us playing onGame Pass.
