The Fantastic Four: First Stepsis in cinemas now, so the cast have been doing the media circuit to hype up this latest adaptation ofMarvel’s first family. One of these media appearances was a collab with content creator Loserfruit, who took the opportunity to teach the cast how to play their characters inMarvel Rivals.

As we’ve already covered, this included introducingVanessa Kirby, who plays Sue Storm, to Invisible Woman’s Malice skin. She took it well and joked that we should look out for it in the sequel. But the main attraction here was getting to see them all try and play Marvel Rivals, and it, uh, went about as well as you would expect.

Pedro Pascal’s attempt at playing his own character, Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, is getting the most attention online, and it’s easy to see why. The poor guy struggles to understand the controller, let alone the game itself, and this results in him missing all of his shots… in the practice range.

Pedro Pascal Learns How To Play Marvel Rivals Along With The Rest Of The Fantastic Four Cast

As you can see in the clip being shared online, Pascal gets Mister Fantastic in perfect melee range of the training bot, only to miss all of his punches. If you check out thefull video, you’ll see that he gets there in the end, but that’s about as much as he learns. He gets a couple of ult uses, but struggles to move the camera far enough to aim for an enemy.

The others get to have a go at their characters too, and I’d have to say that Joseph Quinn (Human Torch/Johnny Storm) takes to it the best, with Vanessa Kirby in a close second (sorry, Pedro Pascal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach). Despite this, Pascal is the only one who’s able to get a kill when they’re dropped in a real match, so I guess that practice did pay off in the end.

With that said, Pascal very much appeared to enjoy his time on Marvel Rivals, stating that he’s going to quit acting so he can game instead. Someone, please tell him that Marvel Rivals is free to play, and maybe we’ll bump into him on quick play (and hopefully not competitive).
