Welcome to the Dark Realm inRaidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, with your first venture in the game over into Dark Tsukudo-cho in chapter one. As you battle your way through the eerie streets, be sure to grind for experience a bit - there’s a hefty boss fight ahead.
Before you can head back to the regular world, you’ll need to face off against Tsuchigumo, the massive demon in the Dark Realm who’s stolen a local schoolgirl as a way to lure you into battle. Here’s everything you’ll need to know to beat Tsuchigumo and save Rin!
How To Defeat Tsuchigumo
After you’ve progressed through the entirety of the Dark Tsukudo-cho map you’ve entered in pursuit of the mystery in the first chapter ofRaidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army, you’ll have finished the Nethergate fight requiring Volt Order demons and approached Tsuchigumo and an unconscious Rin.
You’ll banter a bit before the fight begins, but Gouto-Doji will stop you before you can make your first move to teach you about how touse Devil’s Bane on Tsuchigumo, which can only be done if you:
Execute the attack on Tsuchigumo as Gouto calls attention to it being ready, but be ready to deal with another onslaught, since you’ll need tofight two Tsuchigumo demonsat once now, and without a pre-charged Devil’s Bane, no less.
Offensive Moves
With affinities like the ones listed above, your best bet for this fight is torely on Azumi for offense, since it’s likely to be your most powerful demon of the Frost order. You’ll have learned how tohave Raidou Kuzunohause his Cryo Sign attack with his sword from Gouto just before coming into the fight, so make ample use of it anduse Cryo Signas often as possible.
Your second slot in the Configuration menu can go to any shikigami, but we used Pixie for its healing magic, though Azumi is good for backup Cryo Order magic.
These Tsuchigumo spider creatures will take an extra bit of effort in battle, since you’ll need todeplete their elemental shield firstbefore they’ll actually begin taking damage. Should you attack while they’re not staggered with the shield broken using Cryo attacks between you and Azumi, they’ll take no damage, so don’t waste your time.
When their shields are down, you’ll get ashort window where Tsuchigumo is vulnerable to your sword attacks, so watch for the critical hit stagger animation anduse heavy sword attacksduring these few seconds to inflict as much HP damage as possible before the shields regenerate.
Gouto will thankfully call out to you when Tsuchigumo’s shield is back up, since it’s easy to get lost laying into the Tsuchigumo.
