Every Class In Crystal Of Atlan
Crystal of Atlan starts you off with four base classes. Each class then evolves into two or three advanced classes to further enhance your playstyle, making an even more refined experience based on how you want to play. The four base classes you’ll choose from the start are:
Fighter
Amartial arts masterwho plays with super quick and close melee combat. This class can evolve into the Cloudstrider and Starbreaker, two more close combat classes that deal massive amounts of damage.
Starbreaker uses huge fist gauntletsto deal devastating blows with their combos. It’smuch more close rangedand feels very much like abrawler style classfor quick and easy combos up close to deal tons of damage when in your fire state to really amp up your output.
Cloudstrider unleashes the spirits of animalsto create magical combos that canchange her style depending on which inner chi animal you use. The Cloudstriker doesn’t fight as close as the Starbreaker, dealing amore mid-range stance.
When switching between stances, you get completely different skills as the Cloudstrider, depending on the associated animal.
Musketeer
The Musketeer is along-range fightercapable of dishing out damage from several ranges, depending on the advanced class you choose. The Musketeer uses firearms to deal with enemies at a safe range, though they can also move forward for more damage while balancing their resources.
TheBounty Hunteris great for dealinglarge AoE damagewhile also being able toadd elemental damage to your hits. One of themore mobile classes, you’re able to expect to move fast, shoot quickly, and deal large amounts of damage.
TheGunnerhas three different stances that’ll help you fight from any range you need. She has amelee rangefor when enemies are up close and you need to dish out quick damage, making your basic attack all melee attacks.Grenade modegives her along-range attack, and herelectromagnetic rangeis aperfect mid-range option.
Her basic attacks coincide with each mode, giving you a chance to react as you need. you may deal huge bursts of damage if you pay attention to your abilities.
Swordsman
If you love dealing large damage and wielding a sword, this class is perfect for you. Pure strength drives the Swordsman forward, with tons of melee options making him a frontline character, similar to a tank.
TheBerserkeris unique in that hetrades his life for stronger hits. Theless health you have, the harder you’ll be dishing out damage. However, to ensure you don’t get knocked out, yourhealth is traded for a shieldthat allows you to keep your health low but keep your shield up.
You can deal massive damage without being knocked out as your shield keeps you alive. It’s an interesting trade that will have youdishing damage while managing your cooldowns and keeping your shield up.
The Berserker is relatively slow compared to other classes, though it makes up for it as it’s one of the tankiest classes in the game.
Magibladeis allabout speed. He has anattack speed buffthat ensures he can dish out damage as quickly as possible. This will help you gain damage buffs. If you likeflashy skills and sword-wielding with a quick response timeanddealing magic attacks, you’re going to enjoy this.
You will, however, need to be very close to the enemywhen playing as a Magiblade, so don’t think magic attacks mean range.
Magister
Your average magic-wielding spellcaster, theMagisteris amid to long-range elemental damage dealer, using a staff to deal magic damage out to enemies with astring of lightning basic attacks. The Magister has three separate advanced classes to choose from.
TheElementalisttakes things further, providing skills that can target enemies in an area, dealing a ton offlashy AoE damage. You don’t want to be close to enemies as the Elementalist, but there are some options that will help you if you do end up too close to the enemy. The Elementalist has several spells that can clear dungeons quicklyin PvE.
The Elementalist deals elemental damage and has lots ofpassive abilities to increase that attack. You’ll want to ensure you’recollecting Thundercoresas well to use them for devastating attacks.
TheWarlockdeals magic withdestructive spellsand forbidden magic. Another flashy magic caster, this classrelies on marking enemies and using skills to damage marked enemieswith devastating spells. Therange is closer than the Elementalist’s, but you’re still able to deal decent damage at mid-range. He has a unique form that willincrease his damage outputand turn your entire screen black and red as you deal dark damage.
The Warlock ends up being aclose-range magic damage dealer, much closer than the other Magister subclasses.
TheMagician is all about RNG, as you’re given tons of abilities thathelp with crowd control, such as putting enemies to sleep. You havelots of utilitiy, such asturning invisible and creating clones, and rotating through tons of skills that are determined based on the card color you pull.
You’llneed to rotate your cardsfor the most optimal output, hoping that you pull the cards you need to deal the best damage.
Puppeteer
This class usespuppets that she controls to deal damage. She is amelee-based damage dealerwho uses her summoned puppet to close the gap and deal large amounts of damage with swift attack chains. The advanced classes turn into the Scytheguard and the Blademaiden.
TheScytheguardis perfect forsupport players, as you canprovide buffs for yourself and healing. This includes support options such as adamage reduction sphere, orparty-wide healing, as well as a damage buff for yourself.
The Scytheguard isn’t just about support, it canalso deal a very good amount of damagewith the damage buff while rotating between skills to heal at the same time. It’s a very good hybrid class.
TheBlademaidenallows you to control your puppet as itmimics your attacks. You’ll want toplace your puppetin the perfect positionto double your attacks. Overlap your attacks with your puppets in the most opportune direction and placement to deal devastating damage between you and your puppet.
You want to ensure the enemy is between you and your puppet, allowing you to catch them in the crossfire of the damage you’re both doing.
Best Class To Choose Based On Your Playstyle
Whether you’re a beginner to this type of action-style MMORPG or you’re a veteran of how these games play, the advanced classes in each base class all play so differently that there will be something to your liking.
To reachadvanced classes, you’ll need to follow the main story of the game until youreach level 15. You’ll then be given a chance to do the Class Branch quest that will result in you trying out the advanced subclasses for each class, finally choosing one.
Beginner
The base classes are all set up for you when you begin, making it a quick and easy starting place. While you cannot change back to these classes once you’ve chosen an advanced subclass, they all do a good job of not requiring too much from you, as you’ll usually start with just three or four simple skills you may rotate between to deal damage. The skill tree only goes to level 10, so you’ll have an easy time no matter which base class you choose.
The Bounty Hunter is a fast class that’s easily learned as it’s the most similar to the base classes. A decent option for an advanced subclass for beginners.
Intermediate
These classes are not as difficult with resource management, but they have specific abilities that require a bit extra when playing them.
Managing your shield while having low health as the Berserker is important enough to be worth taking the time to learn. The ability to cheat death is also helpful, and the passive healing keeps this class from being too difficult.
Using the New Moon and Full Moon phases as the Scytheguard properly can boost damage and heal you, but you need to know a rotation and keep it up as you play for full use of the class.
The Starbreaker is relatively simple to use, dealing high amounts of damage, however there are skills to keep up with when playing that may require more work from beginners. The same can be said for Elementalist.
Advanced
These classes require a lot of micromanagement, making them more suited for players who are familiar with the genre and cooldown management.
The Cloudstriker won’t be useful and will not deal damage unless you properly switch stances.
The Magician and its RNG require constant attention and upkeep for optimal use while switching through cards in your rotation.
The Blademaiden requires optimal positioning of the puppet with your rotation. The Magiblade requires ensuring you have every cooldown timed properly to keep your speed buffs up and get your damage buffs while rotating through your combo chains.
