How To Select Your Class
When you first start out in the Island Asylum, you’ll bewoken up by a Red Priest guardinterrogating you.Approach him at the gateto initiate a conversation, wherehe’ll ask you what you were doingbefore you were caught by the Red Shields.

Rangers aremore than just archers, though that tends to be their primary focus. As a ranger, you’ll get topick a subclass that best highlights what you dowith your game.
This roleplay question grants you an opportunity to get a large skill boost inone of several crafting skills, so this isn’t the most beginner-friendly class. It’s bettersuited for genre-veteranswho invest heavily in self-sufficiency.

The rogue is a staple in the genre, and they are known forsticking to the shadows and dealing sneak attackdamage. This is anexciting class to play for both veterans and beginners, though it doesmake combat more difficultup close.
However, this can bemitigated with potions, spells, and proper attire. If you’d prefer to avoid combat, then this is likely the class you want. As youinvest your skill points into your desired skill trees, like the bow, you’llfind yourself becoming a lethal forceto be reckoned with.
Evasion +6
This subclassemphasizes speed and precisionusing a bow. This isperfect for experienced playersthat want to quickly and discreetly deal with their enemies.
Theft +6
Lockpick
With theaddition of a lockpickin your inventory, you’re set to explore the Island Asylum andunlock just about anything, so long as you take care not to break the lockpick. Thoseexperienced with playing roguesand utilizing stealth mechanics will love this.
Alchemy +3
Finally, you’re able to tell the guard you weremaking a pilgrimage to an ancient site, which he assumes to mean that you’re a Druid. Sincedruids have been all but wiped out, this is amajor roleplay incentive.
Your subclass will determine whether you were a druid that survived or if you just so happen to have magic. Either way, you’ll geta bonus starting spell!

If you want to play the role of a Druid, opt totell the guard that you studied healing magic. You’ll be rewarded with the Blood Transfusion spell… whichtechnicallycounts as a healing spell.
