Summary

2025’s big yearly Summer showcase,Summer Game Fest, will take place later today, so here’s how you can tune in live and what you can expect to see at the showcase.

As the long-awaited second trailer for GTA 6(as well as a delay) andyesterday’s launch of a brand-new Nintendo consoleandMario Karthave already proven,2025 has already been a stacked year for gaming. While the past few months have had no shortage of news, controversies, and reveals, it’s about to get even busier.

That’s because today, June 6, is when Summer Game Fest kicks off with a big livestreamed showcase (which has been confirmed to last for two hours) that’ll be full of new trailers and hopefully some new games to get excited for. Before you start speculating about Hollow Knight: Silksong and Half-Life 3, here’s how to actually watch the event.

How To Watch Summer Game Fest 2025’s Livestream

Today’s Summer Game Fest showcase kicks off later on in the day andcan be watched live on YouTube (as embedded above)orTwitch. The full times for the showcase are below, but it’s worth noting that the livestream will begin half an hour before the showcase actually does. Don’t be fooled, though, as the real times are below.

As a reminder, the show is set to last for around two hours, and it’s unlikely to go far beyond that since there’s little chance of delays like with The Game Awards. Either way, it’s going to be a late night for many of us, especially anyone based in the UK.

If you want a pro tip,I’d watch on Twitch as it tends to be a little ahead of the YouTube streamand doesn’t lag nearly as much. Gotta get in there early for those world premieres.

What To Expect From Summer Game Fest 2025

Now that you knowhowto watch, it’s time for the fun bit - what we can actually expect to see there. As always,Geoff Keighley has confirmed a bunch of games that’ll appear at the show, as well as a lot of partners who will be involved in the event somehow, whichyou can see pictured above.

Some of the games confirmed to appear so far includeDying Light: The Beast, Ill,Atomic Heart,Mecha Break,Fortnite,Mafia: The Old Country, and Wildgate. Hideo Kojima has also been confirmed to make an appearance, which is likely to do withDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach, but could also berelated to his upcoming horror, OD.

That leaves a lot of room for whatmightshow up. The big ones are, of course,Hollow Knight: Silksongand Half-Life 3, which have been the star of many a Summer Game Fest guessing game lately. Half-Life seems a little unlikely, butSilksong does seem to be lining up for some kind of reveal soon.

Don’t expect Kingdom Hearts 4 at the show, though,as a reliable insider has claimed it’s not happening. We’ll get them next time, folks.

Then there are the leaks and rumours that have been taking place over the past few weeks.Resident Evil 9 has been mentioned a ton lately, so that could end up appearing. AGod of Warmetroidvania starring Deimos has also been making the rounds lately, as has a Born from a Wish expansion forSilent Hill 2’s remake, which all have a slim chance of showing up later today.
