Moral dilemmas are common obstacles in the base game, and they make their return with devastating potency inLies of P: Overture. During your adventure into the past, you’ll come across an odd but very friendly puppet known as the Crusher Puppet. Except, he’s not really a puppet - or so he says.
As expected, the Crusher Puppet’s true identity is dark and disturbing. You’ll have to piece together clues by talking to him in each of his hidden locations before finding out the truth in Pistis Harbour. Unfortunately, once you’re armed with the truth, what will you do with the soul-crushing decision left up to you?
Where To Find The Crusher Puppet First
The Crusher Puppet’s first location is thankfully quite easy to find. It’s almost impossible to miss. Once youenter the excavation sitefor the first time down in the mines, you’llcross a wooden bridgeand then eventuallyenter a small mining shaft.
You will immediately begin to hear the Crusher Puppet’s screams inside the shaft. He’s sittingon the rightas you enter, next to a table with an Electric Blitz Abrasive. Speaking with the Crusher Puppet, he’ll tell you he’s trapped somewhere.Agree to help him escape.
Where To Find The Crusher Puppet: Part Two
Deeper into the excavation site, you’ll know you’re getting close to the Crusher Puppet once you’ve gotten to a waterfall area where you mustfight a Mine Puppet miniboss. From the miniboss fight location:
You can roll off the wood contraption before reaching the other side to access a small platform with a Miraculous Enhancement Ampoule.
When you reach the other side, you should start to hear Crusher Puppet screaming for help again.Continue forward, past a few mining puppets andacross a wooden bridgewhere a saw dog puppet can be fought. On the right side of the saw dog puppet’s small area, there should bea ledge drop-off lit by a lantern. Use the drop-off.
Following the only path ahead, past a butterfly and an exploding mining cart apparatus, you will find the Crusher Puppet sitting alone at the end. Speak with the Crusher Puppet again andexhaust his dialoguefor him to move on to the next location.
As you explore this detour area for the puppet, you’ll seea locked box with a treasure insidebehind a mining cart. You can approach it, but you shouldquickly run away once you get close. An exploding cart will barrel down the track to hit the cart at the bottom, causing an explosion and leaving behind an enemy miner puppet; inside the treasure box is anAncient Disk, well worth the trouble of coming this way for the Crusher Puppet.
Where To Find The Crusher Puppet: Part Three
Continuing deeper into the mines, you can find the Crusher Puppet’s final puppet location naturally. You’ll know you’re close once youcross a long wooden bridge with a Shield Puppet miniboss.Defeat the miniboss, and you’ll discover the Crusher Puppet inside the chamber across the bridge. He’s sittingon the wall to the left of the collapsed mine shaft.
Speak with the Crusher Puppetone last time. You’ll have far more dialogue options now, soexhaust all of them. By doing so, you willunlock the gesture: Doubt.Once all his dialogue is completed, you can leave in search of his real body. For now, continue normallythroughout the mine.
From this location, you canuse the wooden elevatorahead androll forward into the small opening in the wallfor an optional boss. However,we recommend waiting for that bossuntil you have locked the relevant shortcut ahead.
Where To Find The Crusher Puppet’s Real Body
The Crusher Puppet’s real body can be found at the bottom of the excavation site:Pistris Harbour. From theClosed Mine Tunnel Stargazerwhere you may find Rosaura:
Following this path, you will eventually find a chamber containing several machines and a large brain in a vat.Talk to the brainto learn that this is, in fact, Alexander’s real body.Tell Alexander the truthabout what he is until you are eventually prompted with this dialogue option:
Ask about how to help him.
He’ll tell you to turn off the machine and help him decide his fate.you may either help himkill Alexander,or refuseand leave Alexander alive.
Should I Help The Crusher Puppet: Alexander Goodman?
Before you decide on what to do, take some comfort in knowing thatthis decision has no impact on the storyof the DLC or base game. This decision should solely be up to how you feel. This is a moral decision, akin to choosing what to do about someone on life support.
Refuse
Refusing Alexander will reward you with nothing, butAlexander will remain alivein the vat. He will die later, however, presumably having faded away as the gas ran out.
Accept
If you choose to help Alexander, he will fade away and die. He will thank you as he passes and give you his real name. As a tangible reward, you willreceive the album Nightmareandgain Humanity.
