Elden Ring Nightreignbrings back some of the oldtalismanswe know and love from the original title. However, getting them in Nightreign is not so easy this go around. The ones you want, you can never seem to find. And the ones you find, you can never really keep.

Thankfully, if you know where to look and you check enough times, you’ll probably find that key ingredient you’ve been looking for. If not, you’ll at least find something that will advance your quest in conquering the night and putting our resident Nightlords to bed. After all, in a team of three in a race against the clock, every talisman counts.

They can give upgrades such as:

There areexactly 21 unique variations of Talismans, and certain Talismans can have variations on their level and rarity.

How Do I Get A Talisman?

Talismans can be obtained in a number of ways during one’s hunt andcan be found at any pointduring your hunt, during the day or night:

CertainRelics may also give the effects found on Talismans, but they are notTalismans themselves. This means that the effects given will stack when you find the real deal.

There have been reports that Talismans can drop extremely rarely from bosses. However, we have not been able to replicate this.

Scarabs are by and large the best method of obtaining Talismans. One will always drop, though the exact Talisman will always be random.

Duchess finds a scarab in a field in Limgrave and chases after it in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Therefore, it is always a good idea to take just a few seconds tostop when you hear the telltale chime of a scarabnearby.

The rewards are usually low-cost and extremely high-value.

Duchess stands behind Wylder as they discover the Fort Haight Talisman chest in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Unfortunately, Scarabs only provide a single Talisman that cannot be shared. This means that when playing in co-op, other party members may pick up Talismans from scarabs that you killed. Thankfully, Scarabs are very numerous across the map, especially toward the center and in fielded areas.

There are certain chests in the overworld that always spawn Talismans. The best guaranteed Talisman-spawn chest isinside Fort Haight.

Duchess finds the Fort Haight chest with three talismans in Elden Ring Nightreign.

It is always in the same locationand present in each map instance, regardless of Shifting Earth events or Nightlord target.

To reach it, you will have totake the undercroft passage beneath the front gate bridgeand defeat the boss in the cellar. Once the fog wall is lifted, you may climb up the stairs (defeating any enemy that might stand in your way) andfind the chest in the gatehouse above.

This chest is very special becauseit spawns three Talismans. You can choose one that can be used by each of your party members.

It is very unlikely, if not impossible, that an exact copy of the Talismans (meaning Talismans of the same type and level) that appear in this chest will appear elsewhere if not chosen.Do not pass up a Talisman you like because you hope it will spawn elsewhere. Remember, you may trade Talismanswith other players by throwing them on the ground and picking them up.
