You’ll need a variety of herbs, flowers, and roots to craft a wide variety of alchemical concoctions and delicious dishes inTainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon. Mandrake is one of these ingredients, and it isn’t quite as easy to find as some of the others. Mandrake isn’t something you will need right away, but you’ll find that they do pop up in the odd quest, and if you are looking to get those All-Mother Blessings, that will require that you have some Mandrake on hand.

While Mandrake can be a pain to find, it is something you can locate in parts of the world, and you are able to purchase it from a select few merchants. We’ll take you through the best ways to acquire Mandrake as painlessly as possible so you can get back to questing and worry less about herb cultivation.

Where To Find Mandrake Growing In The South Of The Horns Region

You can find Mandrake growing freely in the wild. You will find individual plants dotting the forested sections in the central parts of the Horns Of The South. However, they really are very few and far between. I did find a few pretty sizable patches growingclose to the Abandoned Village fast-travel marker. You will encounter this marker heading northeast on the King’s Road.

In general, the running theme appears to be that the Mandrake is always pretty close to a rocky outcrop. That may be anecdotal, but I didn’t find any mandrake thatwasn’tclose to an outcrop.

Where To Purchase Mandrake

There are a few merchants you can find who’ll sell you Mandrake. All of them will sell it to you for4 gold a root.Broc, from theConfrontation Looks Like Hopequest, is one of the merchants who will sell you the root. You can find himstanding in front of a bridge in the northern section of the map. Of course, depending on the choices you’ve made, and how far you are into that quest, he may not be around to sell you Mandrake anymore.

Jann is another merchant who’ll sell you Mandrake. He is inside his quarters in the South of the Horns Fortress. Justhead to where your stash is locatedin the fortress, and you’ll see the door to Jann’s quarters.

However, the “man” who has a steady supply of Mandrake, and is easily located right from the beginning of the game, is O Cuinn Cinnamonsage. If you look at the map, you’ll see a little island area that is poking out of the side of the islandsouthwest of where you landed on the beach. Swim out to his island, and kill a few Drowners. You’ll find O Cuinn Cinnamonsage hanging out in the back area. Talk to him, tell him youtotallybelieve he’s a human, and then ask to see what he has for sale.
