With the new Tides of Terraria update inPalworld, the total number of available Pals has now surpassed 150. While some Pals are easy to find and appear in abundance across various regions, others only spawn in very specific locations. Many of the newly added Pals are tied to the update’s biggest addition:the fishing mechanic.
A significant number of Water-type Pals were introduced alongside this system, and Jellroy is one of them. Closely resembling Jelliette, this adorable jellyfish Pal is one you won’t want to miss. If you’re looking to catch Jellroy, this guide will show you where to find it.
Where To Find Jellroy
Jellroy is a cute jellyfish-like Pal that shares many similarities with Jelliette. It’s a Water and Dark-type Pal that can only be found on a small island added in the Tides of Terraria update. This island is called Phantom Isle and islocated at coordinates -908, -202.
There are two fast travel points that offer easy access to it. One is Sakurajima – Southern Sandbar, southwest of Sakurajima Island. From there, travel southwest across the ocean to reach Phantom Isle. Alternatively, you can start from the Ruined Fortress City fast travel point north of Mount Obsidian. Head north into the ocean, then go directly west to reach the island.
Jellroys found on Phantom Isle arebetween levels 30 and 40, and they are aggressive—they will attack on sight. If none are present when you arrive, simply leave the island and return later to respawn them. Since Jellroy is a Water/Dark-type Pal,Electric and Dragon types are most effective against it.
How To Breed Jellroy
Another way to obtain Jellroy isby hatching aDamp Egg, which can be found in the wild or created through breeding specific Pal combinations at theBreeding Farm:
Items Dropped By Jellroy
When caught or defeated, Jellroy may drop the following items:
While Jellroy drops Pal Fluids, it’s not the most efficient source—early-game Water Pals are better targets for farming. Jellroy Bell Flesh is a consumable food item that provides 37 nutrition. You can also use it to cook Jellroy’s Jolly Jelly in a Cooking Pot. The recipe requires:
Pal Fluids
Two
Jellroy’s Jolly Jelly offers 66 nutrition, increases EXP gain for a short time, and boosts defense by ten percent temporarily.
Partner Skill & Work Suitability
Jellroy’s partner skill, Jellroy Drop, increases item yields while salvaging. It has an additional synergy bonus—if both Jellroy and Jelliette are present in your base, Jellroy’s watering speed increases.
Likewise, Jelliette’s speed increases when both are present.
In terms of work suitability, Jellroy can perform various tasks, but its proficiency levels are generally low. Still, having both Jellroy and Jelliette early in your base setup can be quite helpful. Jelroy’s work suitability includes:
Level Two
Passive Skills
If you plan to keep Jellroy in your base, the best passive skill is Remarkable Craftsmanship, which boosts its work speed by 75%. Other good options include:
If you plan to use Jellroy in combat, consider Lunker, whichincreases Water attack damage by 20%.
