Vehicles inDune: Awakeningmake traveling across the landscape a lot easier. You’ll be able to find more resources at a faster rate, and they can help you carry more items. However, to get the most out of your vehicles, crafting newer and stronger versions of them will be important. This is where Hydraulic Pistons come into play.
These pistons play a crucial role in the engines of the more advanced vehicles. Because of that feat, they are highly sought after. Currently, it seems the Hydraulic Pistons spawn in a fixed location, which makes them harder to acquire. To locate the pistons more easily, this guide will show you the way.
How To Find Hydraulic Pistons
This resource islocation-specific, meaning you won’t be able to find it randomly as you would with many other crafting materials. To start your search, head to Sheol, which iswest of the Western Vermillius Gap.
However, before you start to venture out in that direction, consider having theappropriate gear, such as better armor and weapons. Mainly because enemies in Sheol pack a punch and will do heavy damage.
Sheol is almost a barren landscape with very few rock clusters to protect you from the sandworm. So, ensure you have a vehicle that can get you out of harm’s way quickly.
Since Sheol is quite large, stay in thenorthern section of the map. If you head to themiddle of northern Sheol, you can find two things. One is theWreck of the Ourea, and the other is a medium-sized rock cluster with anenemy stronghold, called Edge of Archeron.
To find the Hydraulic Pistons, you’ll need to be at the Edge of Archeronstronghold and lootevery chest in the base. Each chest should have the pistons, making this location a great place to farm.
Everywhere in Sheol, apart from the northern section, seems to be covered in radiation. This may make navigating the region harder since the radiation can damage you and your gear. If you have the resources, craft a Radiation Suit to negate the effects.
Lastly,Edge of Archeron is PVP. If you run into any other players there, you’ll need to deal with them on top of the NPCs guarding the stronghold. As mentioned before, make sure you havegear that can help you defend yourselfagainst both threats.
