With the Tides of Terraria update,Palworldhas received a wave of new content, including a Terraria-themed dungeon, monsters from Terraria, and more. Previous updates had already introduced Terraria-inspired items like the Meowmere, but this one expands the crossover even further.

Alongside this, several new Pals have been added to the game. If you’re aiming to complete your Palpedia, it’s only natural to want to find them all. While not all of these new Pals are extremely powerful, some—like Frostplume, the elegant, peacock-like Ice Pal—are easy to obtain early on. If you’re ready for a chilly adventure, this guide will show you how to catch one.

Where To Find Frostplume

Frostplume is an Ice-type Pal with an elegant appearance, resembling a peacock. There is only one location in the game where wild Frostplumes can be found, and that is on a small island. To locate this island, firsttravel to the Sea Breeze Archipelago.

Once there, head to the Sea Breeze Archipelago – Castaway Beach fast travel point, located in the southern part of the region. From that point, travel further south across the ocean for a short journey to reach Frostbitten Isle. The coordinates for the island are -81, -946. Frostbitten Isle is not very large, and wild Frostplumes can be found just south of the fast travel point.

If you don’t see them right away, leave the area and return—they will eventually spawn. Outside of this island, there are currently no other locations in the game where wild Frostplumes appear.

Frostplumes are typically between levels 12 and 20, and they will attack on sight. To handle them effectively, be sure tobring a Fire-type Pal with you.

How To Breed Frostplume

In addition to finding Frostplumes in the wild, they can also beobtained by hatching aFrozen Egg, which can be found while exploring. Alternatively, you’re able to breed specific Pals at theBreeding Farmto create a Frozen Egg that hatches into a Frostplume. The required parent combinations are listed in the table below:

Shadowbeak

Items Dropped By Frostplume

Frostplume only dropsIce Organand no other items. Since they are low-level Pals, they can be farmed early in the game for Ice Organs.

The most efficient way to farm them is by capturing them first and then using aMeat Cleaverto butcher them. However, keep in mind thatPengulletare generally a better alternative for farming Ice Organs.

Partner Skill & Work Suitability

Frostplume’s partner skill is Peacock Pounce. When Frostplume is in your party,it increases your reload speed if you’re using a ranged weapon. This can provide a notable advantage depending on your weapon of choice. However, if you’re using melee weapons, there is no benefit to having Frostplume in your party.

Cooling

Level 2

Due to its relatively low level, Frostplume can be agood option for your base in the early stages of the game—particularly because of its Cooling level two. However, as you progress and gain access to stronger Pals, Frostplume becomes less effective for base work.

As for passive skills, Vanguard is a solid choice if you’re aiming to boost your attack power. For a more defensive playstyle, Stronghold Strategist is another viable option. That said, there are no passive skills that synergize exceptionally well with Frostplume overall.
