One of the most fascinating aspects ofPalworldis the existence of Pal variants. Some Pals adapt to their environments or undergo changes that alter both their appearance and type—much like real-life adaptation. With the Tides of Terraria update, many new Pals and even some unique variants were added to the game, bringing the total count to over 150.
Finsider Ignis is a pink-colored variant of Finsider, boasting both Fire and Water types. Its costume is said to be endlessly deep, like a bag that could hold an entire universe. If you’re looking to catch this strange and intriguing Pal, you’re in the right place.
Where To Find Finsider Ignis
Finsider Ignis is a variant of Finsider, and while it first appears to be a reddish-pink fish, a closer look reveals it’s actually a creature wearing a fish costume.Unlike the original Finsider, this Pal isnot only Water type but also Fire type.Finsider Ignis does not physically appear in the wild—you can onlyobtain it through fishing.
One of the small islands whereyou can catch it is Phantom Isle, added to the game with the Tides of Terraria update. This island is locatedat coordinates -905, -207.You can head directly to these coordinates, but there are also two nearby fast travel points.
One of them is Sakurajima Island – Southern Sandbar, located southwest of Sakurajima Island. From this point, travel southwest across the ocean to reach Phantom Isle. Alternatively, you can start at the Ruined Fortress City fast travel point, north of Mount Obsidian, head north into the sea, and then travel west to find Phantom Isle.
You can catch Finsider Ignis by fishing along thewestern and eastern coasts of the Phantom Isle. The Finsider Ignis found in these fishing spots are between level 30 and 40.
However, you’re not limited to Phantom Isle when searching for Finsider Ignis. you’re able to also catch this Pal by fishingin various spots around Feybreak Island.Especially along the ocean shores or lakes—excluding the purple-colored land in the southern part of Feybreak—you have a good chance of finding it.
The Finsider Ignis you catch in Feybreak Island are usually between levels 50 and 55.
How To Breed Finsider Ignis
Another method to obtain Finsider Ignis isthroughDamp Eggs found in the wild. However, since many different Pals can hatch from Damp Eggs, the most reliable way to get Finsider Ignis is by breeding specific Pals in theBreeding Farmto produce a Damp Egg containing it:

Items Dropped By Finsider Ignis
When you catch or defeat a Finsider Ignis, the items you may obtain include:
In terms of loot, Finsider Ignis is not particularly rewarding. For example, Flame Organs can be more easily farmed from lower-level Pals likeFoxparksorRooby. Likewise, Leather can be efficiently collected fromDirehowl,Foxparks, orFuack. For Small Pal Souls,Daedreamis lower-level and easier-to-find alternatives.
Partner Skill & Work Suitability
Finsider Ignis’s partner skill, Ember Chamber, is similar to the regular Finsider’s. When Finsider Ignis is in your party, the weight of weapons in your inventory is reduced. This is useful if you carry a variety of weapons, but if you rely on just one, it’s not particularly necessary.
Unlike normal Finsider, however, Finsider Ignis alsoboosts the attack power of Fire-type Pals while in your party. This makes it a functional partner skill, especially in battles against Ice and Grass-type Pals, where boosting your Fire Pals can be a big advantage.
In terms of work suitability, if you obtain Finsider Ignis during mid or late game, it’s not particularly useful. It’s not easy to get in the early game, since both Phantom Isle and Feybreak Island are dangerous and difficult areas. Because of this, Finsider Ignis won’t be especially functional at your base during the middle or later stages of the game. Finsider Ignis’s work suitability includes:
Level Two
Passive Skills
Finsider Ignis doesn’t have many passive skills that perfectly match its traits. Still, Vanguard is a good option, as it boosts your character’s attack by ten percent. Stronghold Strategist is another viable choice as it increases your character’s defense by ten percent. Alternatively, Eternal Flame or Lunker can also be good choices for enhancing Finsider Ignis.
