Revenge of the Savage Planetfeatures environments and creatures that double the chaos of Journey to the Savage Planet. Each planet has its own unique personality and offers plenty to explore. Your character begins as an explorer working for Alta Interstellar, but is quickly fired. Soon after, you establish contact with Martin Tweed, the former CEO of Kindred Aerospace.

After Alta Interstellar acquires Kindred, Martin is forced into retirement—something he doesn’t take well. It also becomes clear that Alta Interstellar has a shady side. To assist Martin and investigate further, there’s an optional mission on the planet Xephyr called Best Served Cold. This guide explains how to complete it.

How To Obtain Best Served Cold Quest

You need to have accepted the Roundtrip 2.0 mission before you may find the Cry-o-pods. While completing the main missions on Stellaris Prime, you’llcome across a spaceship stuck in the swamp to the south of the base.

This ship is the Javelin, the spacecraft from the previous game, and it’s now lodged in that swamp. After you see and scan it, there won’t be anything you can do just yet. Continue with the main missions on Stellaris Prime, and then proceed to the next planet, Xephyr. After arriving on Xephyr, you’ll receive a quest from Martin Tweed called ‘Best Served Cold’.

When you get close to the location of the Cryo-pods, icons will appear on your map indicating their positions. You can select these icons on the map to track them.

Additionally, completing the Best Served Cold quest while working on the main missions on Xephyr will be beneficial and won’t cause any unnecessary time loss.

If you stick with Tweed’s storyline and gather intel on Alta Interstellar throughout the game, you’ll unlock one of several possible endings. To reach the Tweed’s Revenge ending in particular, you’ll need to find 13 separate pieces of evidence hidden across various planets. Each one brings you closer to exposing the truth behind Alta—and finishing what Tweed started.

Where To Find The First Cry-O-Pod

If this is your first time setting foot on Xephyr and you’re currently progressing through the May The Fork Be With You quest, you’ll already need to head toward the northern regions of the planet. As you make your way far enough in that direction, you’ll eventuallycome across an area known as Cactus Valley, a rugged zone located just north of the Frangipane Drifts region.

Keep exploring around this area and looknear the large lake positioned to the south of Cactus Valley. To the east of that lake, tucked near the edge of a cliff, you’ll find the first Cry-o-Pod waiting to be scanned.

Where To Find The Second Cry-O-Pod

To find this Cry-o-Pod, begin your journey at the teleporter situated in the Great Oasis region, located in the northeastern part of Xephyr. From the teleporter, head southwest, where you willspot the entrance to the Caves of Miranyth—a cave system that leads deep underground.

Once you enter the cave, you have two options: either proceed inside and take a right turn, or stay outside and move to the right before descending through a narrow pass. Following either route will bring you to apile of debris beneath a waterfall, where the Cry-o-Pods are hidden and waiting to be discovered.

Where To Find The Third Cry-O-Pod

To find this Cry-o-Pod, begin at the G’nortt’s High Rise teleporter on Xephyr. From the teleporter’s exact location, look straight south, and you’ll notice a cliff densely covered with lush vegetation. Carefully make your way over to this cliff. When you arrive, you’lldiscover a Fungal Generatorgrowing there—a unique mushroom that emits electrical energy.

Stand close to this glowing mushroom and thenlook eastward. In the shadowed area beneath the cliff’s overhang, you will clearly see the Cry-o-Pod waiting to be found.

Where To Find The Fourth Cry-O-Pod

To obtain this Cry-o-Pod, you’ll first need to return to the Caves of Miranyth, the same location where you found the second Cry-o-Pod earlier. Inside, you’ll encounter a small but important puzzle that involves interacting with electrically charged mushrooms.

Solving this puzzle is essential to advancing the main storyline, but keep in mind thatyou can only complete it after acquiring the Goo Ingestorupgrade. Once you’ve successfully finished the electric mushroom challenge, the blocking obstacle in the cave will vanish.

From there, make your way toward the teleporter and carefully drop down to the lower area. Below, you’ll come across several red-colored flytrap plants. This section itself forms another puzzle, as scanning the plants reveals they require feeding with amber to progress.

What you need to do is carefullyparry the orange projectilesfired by certain plants using the Reflect-o-matic Hand Gel,redirecting them precisely into the mouths of the red flytrap plants.

However, the northernmost red flytrap is blocked by thick branches, so before you can feed it, you’ll first need tofeed two other red flytrapsfound in different parts of the cave with amber.

While feeding the flytrap located in the watery area, be sure not to forget collecting the Orange Goo sitting right in front of it. Additionally, there is another Orange Goo positioned near the location of the Cry-o-Pod itself.

Once you feed the northern red flytrap, its roots will vanish, granting you access to the cave on its right side.Upon entering that cave, turn immediately to the left, and you’ll spot the Cry-o-Pod waiting there to be collected.

Where To Find The Fifth Cry-O-Pod

To collect this Cryo-Pod, the very first requirement is to have the Lava Tank upgrade. Without this essential upgrade, accessing the area where the Cry-o-Pod is located will be impossible. Therefore, ensure to continue progressing through both the main storyline missions and side quests until you acquire the Lava Tank.

Once you’ve obtained the upgrade, teleport to the G’nortt’s High Rise region on Xephyr. From the teleporter, head east toward a cliffwhere you will encounter one of the hostile pink mantis enemy guarding the area. Upon reaching this location, you’llnotice a cave corridor nearby.Enter this passageway to arrive in a zone called Stone Aerie.

Inside the corridor, there is a distinctive red plantknown as the Lava Dispenser. Interact with this plant to gather lava, which is crucial for proceeding further.

At the end of the corridor, if you look down, you’ll see a large cobweb. Use your hose to melt the web with lava, then drop down to the lower part of the corridor. This will bring you directly to the Cry-o-Pods, where you can scan them.

Once you’ve found all the Cry-o-Pods, you’ll unlock the achievement called Toxic Positivity. Additionally, when you return to the base, a creepy video message from Mary K. Le Faux will be waiting for you.
