Using resources is a very special part ofDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach. They let you build structures, restore buildings, and improve your equipment, among other things. It’s less common to find lost materials out in the wild, at least when compared to the original game. This is where the mines come to play.

Throughout your exploration of Australia, you’ll be able to find eight mines in Death Stranding 2. Each one of them will give you a different amount of a specific material after delivering Chiral Crystals. Most of them need to be found and can be missed, so here are their locations.

800 Chiral Crystals

960 Ceramics

The first mine you can restore is located on the western side of Australia. It’snortheast of the Government’s Base and the nearby enemy camp.

You’ll have to restore this mine as part of theSub Order 104: Restore Smoke Hill Mine, which will be given to you by Peter Gates from the Western Environmental Observatory.

2,000 Chiral Crystals

4,800 Special Alloys

Located on the northwestern side of Australia, you’ll find this minenortheast of West Fort Knotand northwest of Rainbow Valley.

Restoring this mine is actually part of aMain Order (13), which involves restoring the monorail.

1,200 Chiral Crystals

720 Chemicals

On the northern side of Australia, you’ll findan enemy camp north of The Architect and east of F2 South Distribution Center. The mine is indeed inside the enemy camp, near the end of it on the east, next to a tower of control.

It’s recommended that youneutralize all the soldiers in the camp, or at least the ones that patrol around the mine, before using it.

1,600 Chiral Crystals

3,200 Ceramics

If you want Ceramics, you’ll need to restore the Mine North of Tar Lake. It’s locatedsouth of The Architect, east of the Northern Environmental Observatory, andnortheast of The Metagenomicist(the monorail system from this mine will go near this last terminal).

1,000 Chiral Crystals

3,200 Resins

Try to restore this mine once you meetThe Dowserduring the story (Main Order 21).It will be northeast of this terminal, east of the F3 Crater in the north of Australia.

4,000 Metals

From The Motherhood, in the northeast of Australia, you need to go north, almost to the edge of the land.

900 Chiral Crystals

1,920 Special Alloys

South of The Motherhood and northwest of East Fort Knot, there’s a small island. Here you can find the mine, around the center of the area.

Approach it from the south, since the north of the island has high rock formations.

On the eastern side of Australia, you can find an optional prepper, The Tar Therapist. On the south of his terminal, very close by, you’ll find the last mine in Death Stranding 2.
