As you explore the land inTainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, you’ll encounter notes and diaries left behind by people who were taken by the Red Priests. While most of these are just lore drops to help you better understand the world, there are some that will start quests and send you off into the world with a purpose.

One of these quests starts in the Island Asylum, which you can very easily miss if you rush through the prologue. We’ll help you slow down and find these notes so you can help a grieving husband put his wife’s memory to rest.

How To Start The Unforgettable Quest

From yourstarting cell on the Asylum Island, turn left and go to theend of the hall. There’s a dead guard here pinned to a chair.Open the gatebeside him to enter a storage room.

You’ll find a chest sitting on the floor in the back. Inside isan old letteryou can pick up. Read it to learn the last thoughts of Katrin, apregnant woman seized by the Red Priestsfor having the plague.

As you progress through the dungeon, you’ll come toanother gate with two skeletonschained to the wall. This cell is just past the onefilled with undeadand the one thatholds the Wyrdboar skull.

In this room, you canpick up the notes from a Red Priestthat detail the torture done to Katrin and her unborn son. Upon learning the truth,the quest Unforgettable starts, but there are no hints as to where you go next. Your only hint is thatKatrin’s husband is named Erfyr.

Where To Find Katrin’s Husband

You won’t be able to do much until youreach act two in Cuanacht. Here, in this land of eternal autumn, you’ll need to make your way to the lower city region. Upon visiting,head to the northwestern corner of the cityto reach the craftsman’s quarters.

Find the blacksmithhere, though he won’t be outside. You’ll need toenter Erfyr’s houseto meet with him, though he won’t want to talk much.

How To Complete The Change Of Heart Quest

Before you cantalk to Erfyrabout his wife, you’ll need to help himsave his apprentice Beor. Apparently, Beor waslured to a nearby caveby a girl he fell in love with, but hecame back differentand hasn’t been the same. Erfyr is afraid the boy is dying and sends you tofind out what really happened.

Headwest of town, past the fields and along the path, to reach the cave. Outside are ahandful of deserters and peasantstainted by the Wyrd. Dispatch them quickly and head inside the cave.

Feel free to explore and loot the cave. You’ll find multiple notes left by lovers and concerned families, as well as lots of alcohol.

As you wind through the cave, a woman’s voice will call after you. Shebelieves you to be Beorand lures you deeper into the cave. Follow thewinding path to the poolabove the waterfall. Here you’ll find the source of the voice, and it’s no woman.

A Fae creaturewaits for you and attacks on sight. Try tokeep your distance and use throwing knivesto deal damage from afar. When you defeat the wyrdbeast, make sure toloot the body to get Beor’s heart.

Bring it back to Erfyrand he’ll place it in Beor’s chest. The two will talk about what happened andshare in a good laughbefore the quest ends.

Erfyr will now reopen the smithy so you’ll find him outside.

Should You Tell Erfyr The Truth About Katrin?

After Beor recovers from his attack, you canspeak to Erfyr outside. You won’t be able togive him the letterdirectly at first. You’ll need to gentlyask about his familyand what happened to them, so make sure toexhaust the dialogue optionsyou have with him.

Be sure not to lose the letter from Katrin! You’ll need to have it in your inventory.

When you give him the letter, he’s upset but expected as much. Herewards you with a health ringand sends you on your way. This doesn’t change things for him, but it solidifies his resolve even further.
