Luckily, despite his otherwise useless purpose as a merchant to buy from, you can still sell your items to Malachy whenever you want, and indulge him in a business venture. It may not seem wise to work with a merchant who doesn’t seem to care about his employees, but the extra coin can’t hurt.

How To Start Drowner Tongues For Malachy

Once youfind Malachy’s letter at The Gallows and confront him about it,you can offer to work with Malachy. Offering your services willbegin the ‘Drowner Tongues for Malachy’ quest.

If you were savvy enough to pick up the two Drowner Tongues in the crate where you found the Letter From a Shady Merchant, then you only need to find four more Drowner Tongues.

Where To Find Drowner Tongues

Assuming you haven’t collected enough Drowner Tongues during your journey across the Horns of the South, then you’ll need to head out to collect some.

Drowner Tonguescan only be looted from the Drowners that you find lurking in swampy areas or near any bodies of water.

The best place to find Drowner Tongues is the Sunken Villagealong the western coast of the Horns of the South. Fast travel here, or follow the coast south from the Deserted Settlement, and you’ll run into the village.

Once you arrive, head to the fast travel point along the water, and you’ll findseveral Drowners to fight along the coast here.

Not every Drowner will yield Drowner Tongues as loot, so you might need to kill around five to ten of them to collect enough tongues, if you’re unlucky.

Once you have six,your quest will update and instruct you toreturn to the Deserted Settlementin the northwest to give Malachy the tongues.

Bring the six Drowner Tongues back to the Deserted Settlement to give them to Malachy. You’ll earn his thanks and also receive the following for your hard work:
