Quick Links
There are a whole bunch of characters with the the potential to be dated inDate Everything. Over 100 with the DLC included, so that’s quite a few options. But this is a lively, bustling house, and finding love isn’t the only activity you’re able to get up to. Plenty of these Dateables have lives of their own you can help out with.
Let’s take the adorable, sleepy Mateo Manta for example. All of the inanimals of the home are under his purview, but one of the inanimals he is closest with, Davi, has disappeared. So to give everyone in the house a happy ending, let out there and get scouring in search of Davi, and every other inanimal that went missing along the way.
What Are Inanimals
The phrase inanimals isn’t exactly a real one, but it’s actually pretty descriptive.Inanimals are basically things that look like animals, but aren’t. The very first inanimal that Mateo introduces you to is a little black cat that is made out of wires and cables. You don’t have to find this one, but it’s a pretty good introduction to what exactly you should be looking for. Kind of.
You never actually fully see the inanimals with a full 3D model, just small pieces of them. Creating 3D models for characters that only appear once is hard work. That said, they should still stand out when you do come across them, especially since they will only appear once they are actually able to be found.
Starting The Inanimal Search
To get started on the inanimal search, you’ll have to talk to Mateo. At this point, he will bring up all of the inanimals, and state thatDavi went missing when a few of them escaped, and he can’t find them whatsoever. As part of the search for Davi, you must find every other inanimal that went missing as well, for four to find in total.
After this initial conversation,Mateo will ask you to speak with Phoeniciaso she can put up an alert on social media to help widen the search party. So do just this, and she will agree happily. Return the next day to Mateo to inform him of Phoenicia’s post, and he will be massively greateful. In fact, he has alreadypicked up a rumour of his own from Hoove. Head to him now to begin the search in earnest.
If you haven’t discovered Hoove yet, hecan be found in the utility room closet, in the same room as the sink and washing machine and dryer. As the name suggests, he’s the vacuum.
Where To Find Each Inanimal
Once you speak with Hoove after being pointed in his direction, he will mention that he thinks hesaw a snake-like inanimal recently in this very room. From this point on, you will get more rumours like this as you find each inanimal until you finally find them all. So let’s start our search.
Keep in mind thattalking to an inanimal is classed as an interaction with Mateo, and therefore you won’t be able to save an inanimal on the same day you talk to him, or vice versa.
Pythorn, The Serpentine Inanimal
Pythron is the very first inanimal you must find. While you don’t need to speak to Hoove for them to appear, they won’t appear until you have first been put in his direction, so you may as well speak with him anyway.Pythorn can be found sitting on the window right above the laundry basket, looking like a small green vine with spikes. Interact with them to pick them up.
At this point, you can return to Mateo, who will be joyous to see the first of the inanimal returned.
Springtail, The Mouse Inanimal
Next on the agenda is Springtail, a mouse-like inanimal. After returning Pythorn,Mateo will then tell you to chat with Telly, who claims to have seen another of the inanimals. Speak with him, and he will more directly state that he saw this mouse getting knotted up in all of Connie’s wires.
Telly is the two TVs you can find in the upstairs gym, and the living room.Connie is the console found underneath Tellyin the living room.
In the living room, check the table that the TV is standing on. In one of its sections will be Connie the console, while the one across from it should havea small lump that almost looks like a TV remote. Interact with this to find Springtail. As before, return them to Mateo the next day to continue the search.
Stitch, The Tassel Hound Inanimal
Making good progress. With Springtail returned, Mateo offers us another piece of information he’s picked up.Stepford says he thinks he heard of an inanimal, so go check in with him next.
Stepford isthe shelf of awards in the home gym upstairs, in case you haven’t found him yet.
After speaking with Stepford, he will claim to haveheard noises coming from the nearby closet. Head inside to check it out. There are a few different characters you may speak with here, so be careful when interacting. It’s easiest todo so without the Dateviators equippedso you don’t accidentally talk with other by mistake.
Stuffed under some boxes, you will see some loose tassels sticking out. This will reveal Stitch. With this inanimal found, you can return to Mateo once again.
Davi, The Dog Inanimal
Return to Mateo now to bring Stitch home, and you’ll be met with another surprise. Rushing home after all the other inanimals were found,Davi comes bounding in right to Mateo’s side. Overjoyed, Mateo embraces the inanimal, who looks much more like a regular animal than all the others.
With this, finally, your search for the inanimals has come to an end.
What Is The Reward For Finding All The Inanimals?
So after all of that effort, what have you to show for it? A few different things, actually. For one, the next time you speak with Mateo, you will unlock his final collectible, which is always nice to have completed. Secondly, you will unlock the ‘Inanimal Control’ achievement/trophy, another nice bonus.
Interestingly, the ‘Inanimal Control’ achievement/trophymay unlock once you find Stitch and before you return him to Mateo. The image for the achievement/trophy also shows Stitch, even though the conditions for unlock are supposed to be for finding Davi. Weird!
Finally, you will actually be able to finish off Mateo’s storyline now, andcan quite easily get a Love ending with him if you’ve been caring and flirtatious with himup to this point. You can also be friends here if you want, or even enemies, but it’s hard to see wanting to get a Hate ending if you went to this much effort to find his pets.
