There are a lot of different crafting materials inDune: Awakening, and until you’ve got your bearings, it can be difficult to tell where to get everything that you need. Many of the resources are (by design) going to send you to different locations of the map, and you’ll need to learn what to keep an eye out for.
Complex Machinery is one of those resources, and just like Iron or Copper, it cannot be crafted. We’ll go over how to find Complex Machinery in this guide, as well as a good method for figuring out how to get resources you might not be familiar with in the future.
Where To Find Complex Machinery
Complex Machinery isfound in any kind of structure that has semi-functioning machinerystill inside. For the most part, this includes a couple of different types of locations:Ironworks and Imperial Testing Stations.
How To Find Ironworks
Ironworks aregoing to be scattered across the map, essentially as ruins of former factories. They can be fairly large structures, and are indicated on the map bya symbol that looks like three small diamonds going into a folder.
Many resources like this can be found by looking at the map, hovering over an icon, and seeing what it says underneath the type of location it is. In the case of Ironworks, it says Complex Machinery, while other locations have different varieties of loot unique to them.
Ironworks are going to have enemies inside and around, but they’re notgenerally locations where there are very tough enemies. Mostly, these resemble things like camps, with a few enemies scattered around, but nobody too special. These will be theideal locations to get Complex Machinery.
You’ll want to specifically head inside these locations; this is typically where the Complex Machinery is found. There will be machines that look similar to ones that you havein your base, but can be looted like containers. These almost always have a steady supply of Complex Machinery inside.
Imperial Testing Stations
Imperial Testing Stations can also have Complex Machinery, butthese are generally more involved locations to get through. They’re much larger on the inside, often climbing downwards and sprawling around like a dungeon.
There willusually be some tougher enemies here, so if you do venture inside these, be sure to be prepared. But, just like Ironworks, there will be machinery here that can be looted like a container.
While you’ll need to be prepared for combat inside of these, you won’t need to bring an overabundance of water, because there is usually water available throughout the facility.
