Making your way throughTainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalonmeans trekking across the vast expanses of the Horns of the South and Cuanacht early on in your adventure. In these areas, you’ll find massive dungeons and dozens of side quests to keep you busy.
However, some of these dungeons aren’t optional as you pursue the pieces of King Arthur’s soul. Diving into the Abyss of Sagremor means facing the unpleasant truths about the world and what power does to those who fear losing it. We’ll help you find and assist Claire, the queen’s sister, so you’re able to get one step closer to learning the truth.
Where To Find Claire
After obtaining the key to Claire’s quarters,head up the stairsin the passage to the left. Once youarrive in the banquet hall, slay the spirits of the aristocrats and servants, thenmake your way to the door on the other sideof the tables.
Use the key tounlock the door, revealing a massive book waiting for you. Loot the chests here for some ingredients before interacting with the book. You’ll betransported to the keepwhere Claire hides herself.
Take the lift up to her chambers, where you’ll find herscribbling away at the letterson her desk. Talking to her proves difficult, but you may help her in another way.
How To Help Claire
To help Claire,approach the pile of books and lettersby her bedroom door. Interact with them toenter a world of her own fantasy, within the pages of her letters and love stories.
Once inside, you’ll need tohelp her defeat each incarnation of her lover, Bors. He’s holding her mind captive in the letters, and she cannot focus on anything else but her obsession with him.
There are three versions of him to fight, all with a different background.
Ardent Lover Boss Fight
The first you’ll come across isthe Ardent Lover in the farm fields. Interact with the inky black book to transport yourself into the fields with Bors. This variant isn’t very strong, ashe’s a farmhand, but don’t let your guard down.
Use the arena to your advantage anddodge his attacks while striking him in the back. Once he’s down, you may leave the area and pursue the next copy of Bors.
Valiant Knight Boss Fight
Head up along the pathaway from the farmto find another black book. Interact with it to find the valiant knight variant, where Bors iswell-armored and wielding a two-handed claymore.
While his movements are slower here, hehits much harder.Carefully time your dodges and use ranged attacks to stagger him. When he falls, you cancollect his bladeand leave.
It’s a standardtwo-handed weapon without any enchantments, but it is named, making it unique.
Minstrel Of Dreams Boss Fight
Finally, head to the overlook to find the last of the black books. Inside isthe Minstrel of Dreams. He’s the least armored of the variants, butuses the Burning Ember spellto attack.
Whilethe spell isn’t particularly powerful, the lighting within the dream makes italmost impossible to seeunless you know to look for it. You can easily catch on fire without warning, so watch Bors' movements closely and time your attacks to stop him from throwing fire balls.
Once he’s defeated,backtrack down the roadto a new black book that appears. This willreturn you to Claire’s quarters, where you’re able to finally speak with her. She’smore or less herself, though she won’t stop writing about Bors. However, she realizes now that she just wanted someone to love her like the king loved the queen.
The quest concludes, and you can leave the tower the way you came,returning to the Abyss of King Sagremorand the castle within.
