How To Find Carbon Ore

The good thing about locating this resource in Dune: Awakening is that it appears quite early on. This allows you to craft better things in the initial sections of the MMO. However, as mentioned, you’ll have to go throughsome minor hoopsfirst.

To start, you’ll need toresearch and create the Cutteray Mk2. It costs aboutfive Intel Points, which makes the tool relatively affordable. Even if you have the Cutteray schematic, ensure you have enough resources to make the tool.

The Cutteray can’t be crafted into the Crafting menu. After you research it, you may find and make it in your Fabricator at your base.

Once you’ve made the Cutteray, you have to bein the areawhere Carbon appears. There are deposits of Carbon piles scattered throughoutEastern Vermillius Gap, but for a high concentration of the resource, headnortheast of Eastern Vermillius Gap into Hagga Rift.

Carbon piles are usually plentiful in this region, but with that being said, they won’t appear in open spaces. The best place to look for them would be at thebase of the large rock structuresand on cliffs.

To spot Carbon piles, look for stones that are covered withgray and white crystals.

After you’ve found a pile, you canexamine the rockas you would for any other resource and then break it down.

If you don’t have the Cutteray Mk2, you can still get Carbon Ore without the tool. Instead of trying to cut the stone pile down, you can pick up Carbon Ore beside any large Carbon Pile.

What you extract directly from the rock pilewill be the Carbon Ore. You won’t need to refine it.
