As you explore the puppet-infested lands ofScum, you’ll come across many different types of loot. Some of it can be very common, like metal scrap, while others can be quite rare in the game, such as a Mobile Phone. Once you get a phone, you can have access to a major mechanic.

However, it’s not very easy to find this item, and even after you find it, you might not be able to turn it on for quite a while. The process of turning on your smartphone is very specific, and here’s everything you should know about managing its battery.

How To Get A Phone

A smartphone is one of the few items in Scum that you can’t buy from one of the outposts, which makes it even harder to encounter with an already low drop rate. Just like any other loot in the game,you can find smartphones while searching random containersor even lying on top of some shelves.

However, the most common way to find them is by defeating other NPCs or players. For the former, you can usually find smartphones after defeating NPCs like puppets and then searching their body.Once you’ve finished the searching, press Tab and look at the items on the groundto see if a smartphone is one of them. The higher its current durability, the better for you.

Smartphone durability lasts a very long time, so you can easily keep it even if it doesn’t have a high percentage left.

How To Use The Phone

Unfortunately, if you want to turn your smartphone on, your job of looking for items isn’t quite over yet. Youstill have to go around and look for a smartphone battery. This can be identified as a square-shaped thin brick. Once you have the battery, you can drag it onto your smartphone and click on the insert button.

After inserting the battery, put the smartphone on your quick access tab and press the respective button,which will first trigger a sound signifying that the phone has been turned on. After that, simply press the button again and it’ll be in your hands. The smartphone is mainly used to remotely take up some quests.

Once you’re done using the smartphone, it’srecommended to take the battery back outto avoid it being consumed.

Depending on your quest level,you can take multiple quests from this phoneand directly add them to your tracker.
