The buggy inDune: Awakeningcan be a crucial vehicle to have. It allows you to carry a lot more, making it easier to transfer items from one base to another. But the main caveat is that it can help make resource hunting smoother. On the other hand, the vehicle is a lot more demanding.

This makes the buggy more complicated to craft, which, in turn, requires you to take more steps. However, once you earn the buggy, surviving the unpredictable nature of Arrakis becomes more manageable. To learn how to get a buggy in Dune: Awakening, this guide will walk you through the process.

How To Craft A Buggy

Like many of the high-end crafting items in the game, you’ll need toprogress in theResearch Menuto unlock the buggy’s bundle. To locate the bundle’s schematic, look in theSteel section of the Vehicle Tab in the Research Menu.

Once you have15 Intel Points, you’re able to freely unlock the buggy’s bundle, which includes itsrear, chassis, hull, engine, PSU, and tread. However, like thesandbike, you must craftfour treadsto make the buggy drivable.

There are also separate schematics for the buggy’s storage, cutteray, and booster. They should also be located in the Steel section of the Vehicle tab.

While you have the schematic, you’ll still need to craft each partusing the resources mentioned below:

If you’re around the middle game mark of Dune: Awakening, you should be running into most of these resources in high quantities.

How To Build The Buggy

When you have all the buggy parts ready to be crafted, you can make them in a fabricator. It won’t be the same machine you built your sandbike in. Instead, you’ll need to research and build aVehicle Fabricator. It should costfive Intel Points.

Now, assuming all the parts (including the four treads) are made, use the Welding Torchto put everything together. The basic torch will work fine, but to speed up the process, it’s recommended touse the Welding Torch Mk3.

Due to the slower speed of the buggy and how much noise it can make, venturing out into the open desert may guarantee a sandworm coming up and killing you.

The buggy consumesa higher amount of fuelthan the sidebike. Before using the vehicle, craft several medium-sized VehicleFuel Cells. This can help you avoid getting stranded.

How To Find A Buggy

Crafting one is easierbut time-consumingsince it requires a high amount of resources. Alternatively, buggies can be foundall around the world that youcan “steal.“The issue with this method is that it can be quite challenging.

To easily find a free buggy, check out theenemy strongholds on Arrakis. However, players have been having great luck at theSouthern Comms stronghold, located in theeastern part of the Eastern Shield Wall.

Fortunately, the buggy isn’t deep inside the enemy’s territory.Look for a garage-like structurelocated at the base of the stronghold; the vehicle will be locatedinside the structure.

Before you take the buggy, make sureyou clear outthe garage first.
