As you make your way throughPalworld, you’ll find that, while the mechanics might seem simple at first, there’s quite a bit to learn. From understanding which resources are needed for crafting certain items to figuring out how to build the right structures for your base, the game gradually reveals its depth. On top of that, the Pals you collect each bring unique abilities that can help in different ways, whether in combat or day-to-day tasks.
While most Pals can be found roaming freely in various biomes, a few are exclusive to the game’s newly introduced fishing feature. One such Pal is Dumud Gild, and catching it will require a different approach than your usual encounters.
How To Find Dumud Gild
The only way to get your hands on theDumud Gild palisthrough fishing, and there are only specific locations where it can spawn.
But before you head to these locations, you must first havea high-level fishing rod and a better quality bait. All of these can be unlocked from the Technology menu.
Once you have everything ready, there are two primary locations where you can try your luck.
The first location is atthe Sealed Realm of Terraria,where the Terraria dungeon is located. Justnear the fast travel point,you should find a few fishing spots.
Another great spot to try is atOasis Isle,located just east of the desert biome. At theback of the island, you’ll find a patch of sand, and around it there will be a few fishing spots.
It seems that using the Advanced Fishing Rod with Alluring Bait makes capturing it a bit easier, so you may want to try that as well.
Dumud Gildis an alternative version of the already existing Dumud, and they basically share almost the same features.
The Gild version is aGround/Water type palthat can be agreat choice for Mining tasks, as it boasts Level 2 in that skill. Alongside that, it can also be used forWatering, Farming, and Transporting at Level 1.
In case you decide to add it to your current team, it’s not the best fighter, but it can be beneficial if you have multiple Ground palson your team since it increases their attack power.
There are a few other locations where you can try and fish for Dumud Gild, and these are limited to bodies of water located inside the Dessicated Desert. The map below showcases these fishing spots, highlighted in orange.
