The final week ofDestiny 2’sRite of the Nine event is receiving a small loot event of sorts. Named “Lootapalooza” on social platforms, this final week has drastically increased the drop rates of dungeon weapons and Nonary Manifolds. Additionally, this final week has added Nonary Manifold chests that guarantee certain weapon drops.
If you’re looking for a certain roll from this event’s loot pool, now is the time to hop on and get what you need. Today, we’ll provide a brief overview of how the Lootapalooza event works and showcase all the new content Bungie added during this final week.
What Is Lootapalooza?
Lootapalooza is an unofficial term fora temporary loot event that runs for the last week ofRite of the Nine. From July 8 until The Edge of Fate’s release, all dungeons tied to Rite of the Nine—Spire of the Watcher, Ghosts of the Deep, and Prophecy—drop significantly more Nonary Manifolds and dungeon weapons. Encounter rewards remain the same during Lootapalooza, but the chance of getting a dungeon weapon from a slain enemy is significantly higher than usual.
Additionally, Bungie has added some bonus rewards to make this event as rewarding as possible.
Mystikos Dungeon Gauntlet Quest
Mystikos is a new quest that is available during the final week of Rite of the Nine, requiring you toclear all three ROTN dungeons before the next weekly reset. The dungeons may be cleared onEternity difficulty; Explorer and Ultimatum do not count. Completing this quest will finish the “Running the Gauntlet” Triumph forthe Eternal title. If there’s a specific Triumph from that title you don’t wish to complete, you can complete Mystikos in its place.
Weapon Focusing
The final room in the Rite of the Nine hub is now available, featuring a new weapon focusing feature that should make targeting specific guns a bit easier. When you load into the Rite of the Nine hub, ascend to the top of the spire and jump onto the tower itself.A pink-lit platform will teleport you to a hidden room that contains a ring of chests.
Each chest in this room isguaranteed to drop a specific weapon from the event. For example, if the chest is next to the Long Arm, then opening that chest will always give you a copy of Long Arm. There is anormal weapon chest (325 Nonary Manifolds) and an adept weapon chest (450 Nonary Manifolds). You may only openone of each chest per day. Be sure to spend any spare Manifolds on weapons you want before the Rite of the Nine event ends next Tuesday.
