Summary
Animehas the potential to feature some of the most jaw-droppingly stunning visuals, complemented by perfectly choreographed battles, which keep you on the edge of your seat as your favorite characters exchange blows with a remarkably strong foe, leading to some of the most hyped-up moments ever.
This is particularly true with shonen anime, as they almost always center around unique powers and have absurd scaling that can make the spectacle of the fight seem epic and otherworldly. Even some of the less positively received anime have some spectacular battles that are worth seeing just for that encounter alone!

While short, the first time Levi Ackerman squares off against the Beast TitaninAttack on Titanis easily one of the most visually impressive and exhilarating encounters to watch, as you get to see a feral Levi cut down a staggering 55-foot ape-like Titan with ease.
Seeing Levi violently spin up the Beast Titan’s arm, causing deep lacerations along the way, before faking going for its nape, only to land a perfectly-placed slash across the eyes, then heading for its Achilles tendon to topple it will always be satisfying and awe-inspiring to watch!

Naruto has its fair share of excellent fights, ranging all the way back to Rock Lee vs. Gaara in the OG series, making it hard to pick which one is the most visually stunning. However, we have to give it to the final clash between Naruto and Sasuke at the very end of the Shippuden. Not only is this a battle over ideals, it’s Naruto’s last chance to pull Sasuke away from the darkness, and it shows.
The choreography is remarkable throughout the entire encounter, as you’re able to see Sasuke repeatedly interrupt Naruto’s hand signs before everything erupts into a kaiju battle, then simmering down with a battle of fists when both of them are drained of their chakra. An outstanding fight from start to finishthat was worth the long wait!
Madhouse
One Punch Man is an interesting show, as the gimmick is very simple yet overpowering, and the battles are usually top-tier, at least in season one, which gave us the gift of Saitama vs. Boros in one of the most visually delightful battles you will ever see.
Saitama battling Boros is just ten minutes of Madhouse flexingtheir talents, showcasing vibrant colors and large-scale explosions, while delivering solid impact that makes you feel every hit. The animation is mindblowing and is easily the best fight in the series yet!

Despite being a relatively new series,Solo Leveling already has some of our favorite fights, with Jinwoo going toe-to-toe against Igris being our personal favorite. The choreography is excellent, and the pacing is snappy and fast-paced, yet easy to follow, which can be a challenge to achieve.
Solo Leveling was already an immensely pretty anime before this fight even happened, and this somehow set the bar higher with excellent use of colors, smooth animation, and a well-paced matchup that will be remembered for years to come!
Fate/stay night
Ufotable
Speaking of excellent use of color, animation, and choreography, the fight between Saber Alter and Rider is likely one of the best visual showcases in an anime film ever. It’s breathtaking from the moment it begins until it unfortunately comes to an end. We could have watched it go on for another ten minutes without batting an eye.
Pretty much every single aspect of this battle is perfect, from the OST to the buttery smooth animation to theexcellent showcase of both characters' movesetsto the camera angles and the sense of scope and impact. Ufotable knocked this out of the park, and we don’t know if it can be topped!
Bones
Despite not being as large-scale as some of the other encounters on this list or even in the series, the Mob vs. God Dimple fight in Mob Psycho 100’s third season is remarkable and deserves a shoutout for how well it’s shot. This is an epic battle that is overflowing with emotion.
You feel every impact during this fight, and seeing the massive amounts of power these two possess is staggering, which only goes hand in hand with the tremendously flashy and colorful visuals that pair well with the unique and god-tier animation. Who knew that fighting inside a large broccoli could be so sick-looking? Also, the battle God Dimple has directly after this is equally as good. This series never misses!
Toei Animation
Next up is Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn, one of the best Dragon Ball movies,as it showcases a rare Super Saiyan 3 Goku facing off against the Evil Incarnate known as Janemba in the Other World, which is already guaranteed to offer up some amazing visuals.
Fortunately, this battle does not disappoint and remains one of the best fights in the series. As always, the use of beams and raw energy is as cool as ever, but the impact from the punches and kicks is visceral, making each attack feel devastating. Super Saiyan Goku is always a treat to watch in action, and this is it at its peak as far as we’re concerned!
Naturally, you cannot talk about unreal visuals in anime battles without bringing up Demon Slayer, and its Entertainment District Arc is going to be very hard to beat, as it delivers some of the most visually appealing and jaw-droppingly gorgeous sequences in anime.Tanjiro and Tengen taking down the vicious Gyutarois pure eye candy.
Add on top of that excellent choreography, and you’re able to see why it’s our favorite in the series without any doubt. Every moment is unbelievable and will constantly have you exclaim in pure shock as you cannot fathom how any of this is even possible to make. This fight rules, and we love every second of it!
MAPPA
Jujutsu Kaisen is no stranger to large-scale battles that feature immense power and abilities being thrown around, destroying everything in sight. However, our favorite lies in the second season of the anime when Yuji and Choso throw down in a bathroom.
Everything about this encounter is pure perfection, and it’s mainly just hand-to-hand combat. you’re able to feel every hit, toss, and impact, and the nonstop sprinkler raining down on them throughout adds to the atmosphere. Everyone was waiting for this fight to be animated, and it far exceeded expectations across the board. We adore this fight!
No matter what you think of Boruto as a whole, there is no denying that Naruto and Sasuke’s battle against Momoshiki is arguably one of the best, if not THE best, choreographed fights in anime that’s not in a movie. Every single frame of this intense encounter is pure cinema, and it only gets better and better as it goes.
Witnessing Naruto and Sasuke work together in perfect unison, casting extremely powerful jutsu, and performing excellent hand-to-hand combat is a sight to behold. And that’s before they combine the Susanoo and Tailed Beast Mode, which is epicness on top of epicness. And, again, it only gets better from here.
There is not a single dull moment of this battle, and, if you’re a fan of the series, you will be smiling from ear to ear the entire time as the call-backs and references are plentiful and handled perfectly. Boruto may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but this fight clears, and we cannot get enough of it!
