Video game cars come in all shapes and sizes. On top of this, their quality can range from old and beat-up to pristine and new. What if you are trying to relive your teenage years and drive a car that looks like your own first car?

Here, we are going to look at some video game vehicles that definitely give us ‘first car’ vibes. Personally, my first car was a slightly-rusty 1997 Honda Civic, which had that classic old and run-down feel that we are going for here. Of course, all these cars are also charming in their own way.

Cyberpunk 2077

First up, we have theQuartz EC-L R275 from Cyberpunk 2077. In-game, we learn that this car was made by a company that previously made an affordable family car. As expected, this became a popular car, so Archer pivoted to a sports car, bringing us the Quartz EC-L R275.

This car is even described in-game as being popular among the urban middle class, which applies to a lot of us. As such, you’ve either had a similar car or knew someone who had a car like this; affordable, small, and (kind of) fast.

Grand Theft Auto Online

Who would have thought that our 1997 Honda Civic would make an appearance in a video game? In Grand Theft Auto Online, you may find the Blista Kanjo, which launched along with The Diamond Casino Heist update.

This isn’t exactly a Honda Civic, but it draws inspiration from the car. Additionally, there is inspiration from other Honda cars in the design. Just looking at it brings back memories of flipping forward the driver’s seat so people could cram into the back.

Burnout 2: Point Of Impact

Burnout is a franchise consisting of several games that you will most likely love if you like to crash video-game cars. Sure, you’re able to race around a track and be careful, but the real fun begins in Crash mode, where your goal is to cause chaos.

In Burnout 2: Point of Impact, you can find the Compact, which seems to be based on the Toyota Starlet. This car looks a bit more modern than something like the Blista Kanjo, but its generic appearance means that many of you probably had a car that looked just like it.

Rocket League

Okay, hear us out on this one. The Turtle Van is the product of acollaboration between Rocket League and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, hence the turtle appearance. The van itself is not a new creation though, it’s been part of the TNMT world for a while.

We all knew someone who drove an oversized van like this though. Maybe it wasn’t as large or cool-looking, but they still had a van. As an honorable mention included here, we’d like to highlight the soccer mom van.

Gran Turismo 7

The Gran Turismo franchise is filled withpretty much any car that you can think of. If you had a certain type of car as a teenager (ranging from classics to expensive sports cars), you may be able to find it in the vast Gran Turismo catalog.

Out of all the cars in the game, we’ve chosen the BMW 3.0 CSL ‘71 as the representative for this list. If your first car was a bit older, then this one is for you. This classic-looking BMW is a special, racing version of the BMW E9, specifically made for the European Touring Car Championship.

Pacific Drive

For a lot of us, our first car wasn’t our dream car. Your first car may even have been quite ugly. Maybe it was even a Station Wagon held together with rope and tape like the car from Pacific Drive? This doesn’t have to apply to you, but maybe the overall vibe of a ‘beat-up car that looks like it’s barely holding itself together’ resonates.

In Pacific Drive, you’re only company is your car. We know the feeling of having a first car that means everything to you, even if it looks a little banged up. Whether your first car was a Station Wagon or not, the nostalgia is still there.

Life Is Strange

Chloe is a main character in both Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm. In the first game, she already has her truck, but in Before the Storm (which is a prequel), you can experience her finding the truck in the junkyard and repairing it.

For some of us, our first car was a passion project that we worked on to make perfect. Chloe turned the broken-down truck into a suitable means of transportation, which is a bit inspiring. With just a little hard work and dedication, you’re able to get (almost) any car up and running!

CJ Riding A Bicycle In Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Lastly, we haveCJ’s bike from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. If you’re reading this list and thinking, “I’ve never had a car”, we’ve got you covered. Just because you didn’t have a car doesn’t mean you didn’t travel around in style like CJ.

Many people remember a time when a friend invited them somewhere, only to worry about how far the bike ride was going to be. Sure, it’s faster than walking, but if it’s Summer, then you were in for a sweaty trip to your destination.
