Few things inFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, if any, rival Treasure Groves for their challenging nature. Treasure Groves aren’t the only endgame-oriented feature you will square off against, and they’re not even strictlyendgame-related. But to reach their depths, to truly conquer them, you must be prepared to a degree that’s unmatched elsewhere in the game.
Our guide on Fantasy Life i’s Treasure Groves will cover what they are, how to unlock them, and what you may expect to face once you’re all set to explore them. Whether you’re marching in alone or alongside friends, at least you’ll know what awaits you!
How To Unlock Treasure Groves
First things first:the earliest that Treasure Groves can be unlocked is toward the tail end of Chapter 4. This is because theFarmerLife is a necessary component, as you need to beplanting Treasure Grove Saplings, waiting for them to sprout, and onlythencan you enter a Treasure Grove.
Indeed, you grow Treasure Groves all on your own. Which is a pretty fun twist on optional dungeons in RPGs!
Where To Get Treasure Grove Saplings
There aretwo ways to obtain Treasure Grove Saplingsin Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. The first is toget them as treasure rewards from defeating Mimics.
Getting The Saplings
Mimics can be found all acrossGinormosia. They’re hardly the rarest enemies, and they typically have anArea Encounterdesignation, making them even easier to find.
In our experience, the Sapling reward itself can be a bit on the rare side. It’s probable thatranking up an area will improve the odds of this drop.
The other way is bygetting Treasure Grove Saplings from the Traveling Merchants, who arealsosituated in Ginormosia. This israndom, and again, raising an area’s rank will be highly helpful.
you may spot the locations of Traveling Merchants bychecking campfires for backpack icons. The merchantsspawn somewhat randomly, and then head to campfires.Travel to the nearest toweronce you see one, and if you don’t see any, don’t despair; they’ll show up before long.
Planting The Saplings
The first time youreturn to your Base Campupon obtaining your first Treasure Grove Sapling, you shouldreceive a new tutorial that’ll inform you of how these work. All you’ve got to do isplant one at your farm here, and voila - a Treasure Grove!
What To Expect
Treasure Groves are actually apretty complex experience. They feature their owngrid-based map illustrating the stages you’ll progress down, in descending order, asthe deeper you venture, the farther into the past you will be venturing.
Naturally, the deeper you go, the harder your encounters will be. Starting off bytackling the first few stagesisn’t a bad idea, unless you happen to be planting a Treasure Grove Saplingafter you have powered up your Lives to a great degree.
Treasure Grove stages will often involvebattling monsters. Yet, nearly as frequently, they will task you withgatheringof all three core kinds. As such, you’ll want to be heading into Treasure Groves with at least one Combat Life unlocked, as well as Woodcutting, Angling, and Mining.
How To Progress
If at any point you find yourself unable to progress down a specific path -and this will happen, as 1,000-Year final stages are especially demanding, but others will prove an ordeal as well -you may exit out of the Treasure Grove.
In any case, the obvious golden rule here is thatthe stronger you are in battling and the more capable a gatherer you are, the better your odds of reaching the end. You should aim tocraft your own gear, and definitelybring Buddies along, ideallyof separate proficiencies.
Finishing a Treasure Grove nets you aGoddess Fruit. Thesesuper-valuable itemsare used atMarco’s Shopback at Base Camp. The Fruit Exchange tab will showcase all the goodies, and trust us, they’re solid grabs.
Just the same,Treasure Groves are a terrific source of grinding, not to mention the resources which await you inside their hallowed halls.
