The hits just keep on coming forWWE 2K25. A day after it was revealed that the recently releasedNintendo Switch 2version of the annualized wrestling video gamewould be missing the “Image Uploader,” a key feature of the games, it’s now been revealed that rapper Travis Scott, who was reportedly slated to be DLC for the game, will no longer be coming.
As first spotted by Insider Gaming, Scott and the larger WWE had a “falling out,” according to the Wrestling Observer, a prominent publication that covers all facets of the professional wrestling industry. Because of the “falling out” between the two sides, the star is no longer set to be in this year’s annualized game.
He was initially rumored to be in the “New Wave” pack. However, that pack launched without its fifth DLC member, with 2K noting it would come down the line. Now, 2K has gone ahead and confirmed El Grande Americano will be the celebrity character.
Not only was Scott supposed to be in the Season Pass, but he was also slated to be in a separate WrestleMania-themed pack, for which he’s been replaced once more.
Travis Scott Was Part Of One Of WWE’s Biggest Moments Before Vanishing
The word of a fallout between Scott and the company is rather noteworthy, especially considering that Scott was part of John Cena’s long-awaited heel turn, appearing alongside The Rock to help turn Cena to the dark side.
Not only was he part of that major viral moment, but Scott then went on to appear at this year’s WrestleMania, helping to interfere on behalf of Cena in his match against Cody Rhodes. Additionally, Scott and his Cactus Jack fashion label released a limited set of clothes for the company.
At one point, Scott was rumored to be undergoing actual pro wrestling training to potentially continue that storyline via an in-ring debut. Now, it appears that WWE is moving ahead without him in every way imaginable, including the video game.
