Summary

Thunderbolts hits theaters today, and while some of you might have seen it already, most of you reading this, like me, have not. However, a key plot point was seemingly spoiled by its trailers, and the movie’s accompanyingFunko Popsmay have further solidified that one member of the newMCUgroup doesn’t get much screen time in the new movie.

Five Funko Pops modeled after five characters from the movie (four heroes and one villain) arenow available at Funko and on Amazonto mark Thunderbolts' release day. The quintet honored with officialMarvelPops areYelena Belova, Red Guardian, Bucky Barnes, and John Walker, with Sentry repping the bad guys.

all five thunderbolts funko pops.

There are two core members of the MCU’s Thunderbolts missing from Funko’s line-up, and those of you keeping up with the trailers will be unsurprised about one of them. There’s no Taskmaster, and that’s probably because - spoiler alert I guess, but again, I’ve not seen the movie - they probably die very early on in the movie.

Thunderbolts Funko Pops Are Here

Taskmaster Is Missing, I Wonder Why?

From the first Thunderbolts trailer, Marvel fans have been convinced Taskmaster gets killed off early, urging fans not to get too attached to the character. While Taskmaster is shown with the rest of the group in some images, they’ve been left out of the majority of promotional materials for the film, and they’re suspiciously absent throughout most of the trailers.

Worryingly, Ghost also doesn’t have a Funko Pop. Insert joke here about her possibly having one but we just can’t see it here. Ghost isn’t suspiciously absent in trailers, so it’s a little odd that she’s not getting a Thunderbolts Funko Pop, especially when Ghost’s MCU look is so unique, arguably more fitting of a Funko Pop than some of the other Thunderbolts characters to have received one.

Ghost might not be getting a Funko Pop because she already has one based on her look in Ant-Man and The Wasp. If that’s the case, that’s a shame as her look has been seriously upgraded since then.

Less about the Thunderbolts Funko Pops you can’t get and more about the ones you can. All five are available now at Funko and Amazon through the links in the box below. They’re all $12 each at Funko(prices vary slightly at Amazon) and are regular-sized figures. They’re also all free-standing Pops, other than Sentry whose figure is attached to a transparent stand to make it look like it’s floating.
