How To Level Up Wonder Efficiently

If you are coming from a traditional Persona game, the biggest adjustment you are going to have to make is how leveling works. First and foremost, how Wonder (your protagonist) levels and how the rest of the cast levels, greatly differ. So, let’s start with Wonder, becausehe defines the ceiling for the rest of the cast.

Wonder is the only character who will gain experience from combat encounters in dungeons. However, while that can be asomewhateffective means for gaining levels early in the game, it is far from the most effective way to do so. Instead, the best way to gain experience for Wonder is to.

The above list is far from exhaustive, but it gives you some of the highlights for how to efficiently level up Wonder. One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of the best ways to level him up are associated with events and resources that slowly replenish over the course of hours. So, trying to level up after you have exhausted those daily resources definitely becomes less efficient - that’s the gacha of it all, unfortunately.

Additionally, Wonder has a skill tree. You can access it in Thieves menu, where you upgrade the rest of your party members. In order to acquire more “Schema”, which is what you’ll need to use to unlock abilities in this skill tree, you simply need toacquire new Persona and then view them in the Persona Compendiumfound in the Velvet Room.

How To Level Up Your Other Party Members

Having covered leveling Wonder, we are happy to report that leveling your other party members is far simpler. You will strengthen these party members from the Thieves menu. Select a character, and then choose the Training option. You will need to acquire two types of materials in order to train your party members:Fragrance Bottles and Training Materials. Training materials will allow you to increase your levels, while fragrance bottles allow you to upgrade a set hidden ability. You will need to alternate between doing both, as you won’t be able to reach the next level threshold until you upgrade the next hidden ability.

Both of these materials will be acquired from treasure chests in dungeons, butthe best way to acquire them is the Realm of Repression missions. Which actually works wonderfully, as we have already established that completing Realm of Repression missions is one of the best ways to increase Wonder’s level. Just remember, the level ceiling of your party members is tied to Wonder’s level. Even if you have all the right materials, a party member will eventually be stopped from enhancing their strength further by Wonder’s current level.

If you need a better Fragrance Bottle than what you currently have on hand, but you have plenty of lower-level Fragrance Bottles, you exchange the lower-level bottles for the next potency level at a three-to-one ratio at your workbench.

Focus On The Beginner Banner First

By playing the game normally, you will earn dozens of Golden Tickets. You will have a few banners you’re able to pull forin the Contracts menu. However, you are going to want tofocus on the “Newcomer Contracts” banner exclusively at the start,as it has a pretty low threshold for getting a five-star character, and you get to choose between three of them (your choices will be Ann, Morganna, and Ryuji). On top of that, you are given a discount, meaning you only need to spend 40 Gold Tickets to hit 50 pulls.

It is important to note that you won’t always get to choose your five stars. The way hard pity works in Persona 5: The Phantom X means that you are guaranteed to get a five-star character if you hit the maximum number of pulls. However, whileyou are guaranteed a five-star pull once you hit the hard pity, you don’t necessarily get to choose which one. Some banners will have multiple five-stars that youcouldacquire. Certain banners will always provide the same five-star character once you hit the hard pity - such asThe Phantom Magician banner, which will always give you Jokerwithin 80 pulls.

While this appears to be largely speculation, it appears as though there is no soft pity in Persona 5: The Phantom X at the moment. So, unlike in many other gacha titles, you are more likely to need to hit that hard pity ceiling in order to get the five-star character you are pursuing.

Always Interact With Menu Items With An Exclamation Mark Icon

Playing the game normally will provide you with tutorials, shopping opportunities, contracts, and so much more. As you work your way through the content, you will see that your menu is lined with exclamation marks. These indicate that there is something new you can do there. In nearly every instance, you will want to see what that exclamation point is indicating, asit will typically indicate something that will provide you with items, experience, or other goodies.

As an example, if you havean exclamation mark on the Awards, Plans, or Goals icons, then there is an award you may claim. An exclamation point over Tutorials means there is a tutorial you can view, which may not sound exciting, but viewing that tutorial will earn you a little more currency.

You will probably learn to ignore certain exclamation marks, such as the one that pops up over Thieves, as it just means you may do something in that menu, and you canalwaysupgrade a weapon, character, or what-have-you - and chances are, you are saving that resource for some other purpose. Still, when you are in the early game,it is worth taking a look whenever anything has an exclamation mark on it, as it is typically going to yield a reward of some sort.

Make Sure To Clear The Daily Content

While Persona 5: The Phantom X really does just feel like a new Persona game, it is still a gacha title, so it isn’t meant to be binged in one 12-hour sitting. Instead, the game incentives you to return daily. Thus, even if you aren’t interested in playing a session, you should spend the ten minutes to log in once a day and perform these tasks…

As you can see, there is a pretty consistent theme here:don’t let anything that passively charges hit its maximum, and if it is at its maximum, deplete it immediately. Every second a resource sits at its cap is a second that isn’t being used to replenish that resource. Every resource that passively recharges is extremely valuable, and you don’t want them to go to waste!

you’re able to triple any activity that is set to give you the rewards you want, but never do that with an activity that is marked “new” as you willnottriple all the rewards you gain from those.

How To Best Use Your Limited Meta Jewels

Meta Jewels are one of the most precious currencies that you will acquire frequentlyin Persona 5: The Phantom X. They are one of the key items you will acquire by doing your daily challenges. However, despite being fed a consistent stream of them, you’ll never have enough, andhow you use them will play a big role in how much progress you’re able to makein a day.

While you may be tempted to just use them as gacha pulls (for every 150, you can get one pull), that isn’tnecessarilythe best usage in the early game. If Wonder isn’t a high enough level, you won’t be able to progress very far. Your entire session can become a painful grind. The best way to level him up is with the Realm of Repression events. Your daily energy is pretty limited, but you can use Meta Jewels to buy coffee, which will replenish your energy. You can buy five coffees a day, at 60 Meta Jewels a pop. I’d recommend doing that in the early game.

But there is nuance, of course. If you are a few gacha pulls away from the pity, then your Meta Jewels are likely better spent putting you over that line.Once you’ve hit a certain point, you may want to simply pool this resourceso that you’re able to roll big on the next banner, especially if there is a character you are particularly interested in that is set to headline an upcoming banner.

Level Your Party Evenly To Better Tackle The Wide Range Of Enemy Encounters

How successful you will be at clearing Momento Trials, clearing dungeon encounters, and fighting your way through the Realm of Repression missions is going to depend on your party composition. As is the case in every Persona title, attacking elemental weaknesses is the key to success. It won’t be too far into the game before you start running up against battles that are extremely difficult to win unless you have the right party composition.

Naturally, Wonder’s ability to switch between a wide variety of Personas helps considerably, but the more party members you have, andthe more variety there is in your party, the more successful you will be. While you will be somewhat limited in the early game, you will find that the game provides you with more than enough Golden Tickets, Platinum Tickets, and Meta Jewels to roll, and acquire, a healthy battery of recruits. Make sure tolevel a wide selection of them consistentlyin the early game.

You will want to pull back on this approach when you get further into the game and the leveling materials become more expensive and hard to acquire. Atthatpoint, you will want to focus on having a strong core party.

How To Acquire New Personas

Having a wide variety of Personas for Wonder to utilize will make your life far easier when you are tackling some of those tougher encounters. So, you want to get those Persona Seals. While you will find these while working through dungeons, you will get the majority of your Persona Seals from the Realm of Repression(yup, that place again).

Your priority should be getting seals fora Persona of every element. Or, even better, get two of each type for when you are forming two groups in the Velvet Room Challenge Battles. Make sure you level all of them up as well. Once again, leveling materials can be won from the Realm of Repression.

you may teach a Persona the relevant element to attack weaknesses, but while this is great for activating them from a skill, when you perform a Once More attack, Wonder will use a skill associated with their base element, which makes them less effective for chain combos leading to stunning an entire squad of demons.
