We are all familiar with the dozens of cutePokemonthat the franchise has shown us over the years. Among the underrated ones are the cool ones that are a bit too edgy in style. They deserve to model in rock fashion more than taking part in battles. Though some of them would prefer you leave them alone.

Many of them weren’t always this edgy. They started off cute, and we showered them with our love, unless they decided to get into their teenage phase, or in this case, second evolution. They lost all their innocent qualities and will probably never return from their emo persona.

10Raboot

Dancing Emo Rabbit

Raboot is an edgyrabbit Pokemon, which doesn’t sound very convincing, especially when these animals are adorable. Its fur resembles a high-necked shirt, which covers half of its face, and black pants.

Like an emo, Raboot has ears draping below near a headband, and also spiky fur above its head. Raboot likes to fiddle around with pebbles using its feet and has great dancing capabilities.

Zangoose prepares to attack on a dirt path in front of a forest in Pokemon anime.

In the anime, Goh’s Raboot had a phase where it refused to listen to its trainer.

9Zangoose

Evil Raccoon

Zigzagoon are cute raccoon Pokemon, but with age, they lose their charming habits and instead choose to be violent. Its evolved form, Zangoose, is mean to Pokemon and humans alike.

You will often see Zangoose owned by evil teams in the Pokemon verse. Being around these bad influences can’t be free, and now this Pokemon seems to be too hardcore — there’s no trace of its previous wholesome persona. Zangoose also seems to love tattoos, as its fur has a thunderous pattern — a great natural emo look.

Drizzile is shown in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

8Drizzile

You Won’t Believe It Was A Crybaby

We all miss Sobble, the cute Pokemon that acts like a crybaby. Once they grow up (evolve), they become a bit meaner. Drizzle lost the adorable eyes Sobble had, and instead, it has a smug look on its face.

Drizzile is no longer a child who cannot go out without his mom. It would love to be in charge of things, and it might never return to its old self ever again. Drizzile’s hair screams emo with some strands covering one of its eyes.

Tobias and his Darkrai from the Pokemon anime.

It evolves further into Inteleon, which also looks like a stylish emo spy.

7Darkrai

The Name Says It All

As its name suggests, Darkrai is all about lookingdark and enigmatic. It’s a fluffy Pokemon, and if it had lighter colors, it would definitely be a cuddly Pokemon… except for the fact that it chose to live in the shadows.

Darkrai rarely appears in front of humans, but when they are peacefully sleeping, it can make them have dangerous nightmares. Darkrai has an emo hairdo as only one of its eyes is visible, and its smoke fluttering across the shoulders increases its hardcore profile.

Lycanroc’s Midnight Form stands proud and tall in the Pokémon anime.

6Lycanroc (Midnight Form)

Stylish But Bites Hard

Lycanroc’s Midnight form is in stark contrast to its Midday form. It stands up on its two legs and uses its upper limbs as sharp claws. Lycanroc has long, spiky fur on its head, which it should consider chopping a bit.

Lycanroc bright red eyes look ferocious in the darkest of nights when it catches its prey off-guard. Wolves are already considered symbols of edginess and villainy, but Lycanroc takes it to the next level.

Houndoom jumps through the air, growling at its adversary in the Pokemon anime.

5Houndoom

Rock Motif

Houndoom can be a motif for any emo rock band. Its design is very hardcore and dangerous, which is depicted by its horns and its palette of colours. Houndoom’s aggressive nature also makes it dangerous, since it might bite you hard if you come a little too close.

Houndoom also wears a skull around its neck, almost like it’s waiting to crash a party with its fellow teens. Its devilish tail and the piercings on its back show that it’s not shy to show off its style.

4Morpeko

Evil Beneath Cuteness

Morpeko looks like anadorable Pokemonwith a similar appearance to Pikachu. What you may not expect is that this cutie hides an edgy side behind those sweet eyes. You definitely want to keep it well fed to see if it can leave its emo phase and return to therapy.

If not, Morpeko gets into its Hangry mode, which you don’t want to mess with. Its pastel fur is replaced by darker colors, and those puppy eyes are replaced by angry red eyes full of rage.

Cacturne from the Pokemon anime.

3Cacturne

Mama-boy Gone Wrong

Cacturne looks like a mama-boy gone rogue due to the influence of a bad company. The adorable Cacnea evolves into this mischievous Pokemon, which attacks desert travelers when they are at their weakest.

Cacturne seems to be wearing a stylish buttoned shirt, except it’s much more spiky. Its style also includes a cap that almost hides its eyes, a really defining characteristic of emo style, which Cacturne embraces.

Toxtricity stands confidently after evolving in Pokemon.

2Toxtricity

Belongs In A Rock Band

Toxtricity is the kind of Pokemon you would often find in rock bands alongside a human guitarist. It actually plays music with its sound attacks.

Toxtricity has electricity leaking from its body, so it doesn’t want you too close. The spiky shape of the discharge of volts also makes it look very emo, and we don’t think it is going to tone that down.

Gengar standing next to Jolteon in the Pokemon anime.

Toxtrictiy are found in two evolved forms, namely Amped and Low Key.

1Gengar

Emo And Mischievous

Gengar is the first emo Pokemon to ever exist (it’s part of the first generation, after all). It may seem a bit too unfriendly, but Gengar likes having fun with people, if only people didn’t judge it by its appearance.

Gengar is mischievous, but that’s also due to its slightly playful nature, which is also expressed by its grin. Its red eyes and spiky fur near the head, along with its pointy ears, add up to its edgy vibe.
