While many had probably heard ofKingdom Come: Deliverance, Game of the Year contenderKingdom Come: Deliverance 2was a large percentage of players' first introduction into the series. Its launch earlier this year saw it receive an 89 onOpenCritic(includinga perfect score from us here at TheGamer), achievea staggering concurrent player count on Steam, andsell millions of copies in its first few weeks.

The game’s success and quality left players wanting to go back and experience Henry of Skalitz and Hans Capon’s origin story, but unfortunately, the console versions of the first game are… a little bit janky. Thatmightbe about to change, though, as reportedly, a listing for a nativePS5version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance has been spotted.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance Might Finally Be Getting A Current-Gen Version

This new spot comes from the Twitter account “PlayStation Game Size”, whichpreviously correctly revealedthe native PS5 version of Cyberpunk 2077 ahead of its launch, as well asrecently suggestinga newAssassin’s Creedgame had been added to the PlayStation Store’s backend.

As is so often the case when this account reveals something, the initial post was cryptic, simply saying, “Kingdom Come: Deliverance PS5 Version” with a green tick and the pair of eyes emoji. They later clarified in the comments that a “PS5 Native Version is coming,” and that “it’s not a patch for the PS4 version.”

The original Kingdom Come: Deliverance was marred by technical issues at launch, something which lefta sour taste in reviewers' mouths, leading it to a lowerOpenCritic score of 72. Since its 2018 release, though, the game has garnered a cult following, and the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has only whetted the appetite for more players to jump back into the medieval world of Bohemia. That soon may become a reality.
