TheNintendo Switch 2has almost certainly hadthe biggest console launch of all time. That’s partly down to Nintendo creating plenty of supply in an attempt to meet the massive demand. Despite that, the Switch 2’s popularity has still resulted in widespread sellouts, but there’s a restock coming.
There have been multiple restocks across various major retailers in the US, but most of the time, that stock has dropped with little to no warning. Walmart is taking a slightly different approach to its next Switch 2 restock. It has advertised when it will have the console back in stock online via a banner notifying potential customers that if they’re Walmart+ members, they’ll be able to buy a Switch 2 an hour earlier than everybody else.
According toWalmart’s Switch 2 store page,Walmart+ members will be able to buy a Switch 2 at 9 pm on May 23, 2025,so tonight, if you’re reading this on the day it was published. If you’re reading this on June 26 or later, I can’t say for certain, but you’re almost definitely too late. By all means, check. You never know, you might accidentally stumble into a future restock. If that happens, you’re inadvertently welcome.
Walmart+ Members Will Be Let Through The Virtual Doors At 9pm
Everyone Else Will Fight Over The Leftovers An Hour Later
If you’re not a Walmart+ member, that presumably meanswhatever stock remains will go on general sale at 10 pm EST, if there’s any stock left. If you’re not a Walmart+ member and you don’t want to run the risk of missing out on tonight’s stock drop,. The only downside is that Walmart+ is not a free subscription.
It might not even be a case of Switch 2 scarcity that has stopped you from grabbing the console during its first month. You might have been waiting for the Switch 2’s launch slate to become a little clearer, and that’s now the case.Donkey Kong Bananzais a little more than three weeks away, and Nintendo has now confirmed the next first-party game launching after it will beDrag x Drive, which releases exclusively on Switch 2 on August 14.
