There are plenty of differentPokemon TCGproducts you can choose to buy for each set, but perhaps one of the best values for your money is mini tins. Thus, Mini Tin Displays stand out as one of the best ways to kickstart your Pokemon TCG sealed product collection or investment, as they’re relatively cheaper than other sealed products, and don’t take up too much space.
Whilethe most valuable booster boxes in the Pokemon TCGwill always be the most efficient investments, they can be extremely cost-prohibitive if you’re on a budget. Each mini-tin display comes with either eight or ten mini-tins, depending on the set, so pay attention to the specific options and what they include.
Mini Tin displays are ordered according to theirTCGplayermarket price. Mini Tin Display contents may vary; i.e, eight tins for Prismatic Evolutions and ten tins for S&V:151.
8Sinnoh Star Mini Tin Display – $192.47
Ten Mini-Tins
The Sinnoh Star Mini Tin Display is a special edition release that included two randomly selected Pokemon TCG packs along with a metallic coin and a promo card.
Most mini-tins come with the same general contents, but with packs and artwork that closely fit the theme indicated on the packaging.
Despite having no indication what packs these tins may contain, you can rest assured that the artwork on the outside of these tins will serve its purpose as a beautiful display piece – it’s in the name, after all.
7Celebrations Mini Tin Display – $199.93
Eight Mini-Tins
Celebrations served as the special set that commemorated Pokemon’s 25th anniversary, and featured a similar collection of items as the Sinnoh Star tins, although these displays only featured eight tins instead of the maximum of ten. The artwork on the display features some of the most beloved starters from Johto and Kanto, along with a bright background.
While it hovers around the $200 mark, you can expect this particular display to rise thanks to its unique distinction as an anniversary-themed product, which obviously is much rarer to find than a typical Pokemon TCG set.
6151 Mini Tin Display – $201.60
151 is one of the most beloved Pokemon sets of all time thanks toa valuable roster of popular Pokemon from the Kanto region, highlighted by Special Illustration Rare versions of the most iconic starter evolutions. This display returns to the standard of ten, and the contents remain consistent, except you can except to find 151 packs in this product.
Set-named mini-tins, like this one, typically contain two packs of the set indicated on the package, so you’re not left guessing as much as you might be with one of the less specific variants. While there won’t be any surprises, you’re able to’t complain much when you’re getting one of the generation’s signature sets.
5Paldean Fates Mini Tin Display – $206.67
Paldean Fates might not have made waves on release, but these Mini Tin Displays are gaining traction as one of the best methods of opening special sets like this one. Certain releases, like Paldean Fates and 151 are special sets that do not feature a booster box, thus requiring you to purchase products like these mini-tin displays if you want to open several packs.
While this isn’t the most efficient method of buying Paldean Fates packs, it anecdotally can provide some decent hits in each tin. However, this is better as an investment item, considering that you’ll be paying roughly ten dollars per pack, due to the extra cost of the tin, the art card, and the sticker sheet included here.
4Kanto Power Mini Tin Display – $217.67
Kanto Power tins return to the random pack formula, though you may expect to receive twopacks from the Sword & Shield era, specifically Astral Radiance and Silver Tempest. As the most valuable products from this era continue to rise, so too do the costs of these mini-tins, as they’re a far cry from their usual $9.99 MSRP.
Even though each tin is roughly just above $20 in this case, a 100 percent increase in price for what amounts to two booster packs is quite a jump. However, that’s the nature of how strong the demand is for these products on the secondary market.
3Prismatic Evolutions Mini Tin Display – $222.80
Prismatic Evolutions only comes with an eight-tin display, but perhaps is one of the few that deserve it, as the eight tins allow for one design of each Eeveelution, along with Eevee, to appear in these Mini Tin Displays. However, when you consider yoiu’re receiving two fewer tins for more money than the Kanto Power tins, it hits home just how expensive Prismatic Evolutions is.
While the previous Kanto Power Mini Tin Display averaged just over $20 per tin, these crank up the heat, at just under $28 each for a total of four fewer packs.
2Shining Fates Mini Tin Display – $225.23
Shining Fates ushers the age of the ten-tin displays back, with this fantastic display containing the titular set. As one of the most sought-after releases from the Sword & Shield era, Shining Fates is another example of a special set release that boasts expensive mini-tins due to the lack of other available pack-efficient choices.
If you’re a fan of the metallic coins, then you’ll get those again here, but the packs are obviously the main attraction, as they contain a variety of shiny Pokemon and other goodies featured in the set. While it’s still best to keep sealed, the value per pack is slightly better here if you’re looking for a thrill.
1Crown Zenith Mini Tin Display – $236.47
Crown Zenith lives up to its name as it sits with a comfortable lead as the most valuable Mini Tin Display thus far in the Pokemon TCG. This is another great example of a special set whose Mini Tin Display thrives on the lack of a booster box, not to mentionthe incredible lineup of Pokemon you’ll find in the set.
With a list of potential hits that’s too long to even begin listing, this set deserves its elevated price tag, as you’ll more than likely get at least one good card in your mini-tin. Expect Crown Zenith’s reign to endure, unless Prismatic Evolutions has something to say about it.
