Summary

The second side set in theOne Piece Card Gameincludes support for leaders that have not seen as much play until now, but the big draw for purchasing sealed boxes of Anime 25th Collection is some of the gorgeous SPR leaders. Similar to some of the Super Pre-Release leaders from before the game was released, these leaders sport an awesome gold foil on their text and borders.

Even though the set has incredible alternate arts, these SPR leaders are extremely hard to pull, making them some of the most wanted cards in EB02. Don’t worry though. If you don’t pull a leader, you’ll still take home a ton of excellent Super Rare and Secret Rare cards.

Charlotte Pudding SPR leader from EB02 Extra Booster Anime 25th Collection from One Piece Card Game.

Values are based on Market Price fromTCGPlayer.comat the time of posting.

10Charlotte Pudding (SPR) - $172.50

Ramp Quick With Your Life Cards

The first of the SPR leaders is the daughter of one of the Four Emperors, the Big Mom Pirate, Charlotte Pudding. This leader has not seen much meta play, but if you have seen or read the Whole Cake Island arc, then you’ll know why this character is so popular among fans.

This leader can quickly ramp up to ten DON!!, making big-body characters, like Katakuri, or her mom, Charlotte Linlin, something you’ll witness in a flash.

Uta SPR leader from EB02 Extra Booster Anime 25th Collection from One Piece Card Game.

9Uta (SPR) - $203.96

For Fans Of One Piece RED

Uta is another leader who is not very competitively viable, but that doesn’t stop fans from collecting just about every Uta card in existence. This leader can reduce the power of your opponent’s character by 2,000, but at the heavy cost of a card out of your hand.

The ability lets you ramp a DON!! as well, but the cost is so high that even the best top end in purple or red is just not worth the trouble.

Vegapunk SPR leader from EB02 Extra Booster Anime 25th Collection from One Piece Card Game.

8Vegapunk (SPR) - $207.76

Eggheads Only!

Interestingly enough, upon the release of EB02, Vegapunk saw an uptick in popularity. With the addition of an excellent blocker in the form of the Egghead scientist himself, the deck can outpace even some of the most deadly decks in the meta.

Although most players would prefer the lively alternate art leader from OP07 500 Years In The Future, this one is far more rare and will earn you some respect points at your local tournament. At least a couple more than the regular art one.

Enel SPR leader from EB02 Extra Booster Anime 25th Collection from One Piece Card Game.

At the time of writing this list, the SPR version of Rob Lucci was listed at $220, but with no confirmed sales, we decided to omit it.

7Enel (SPR) - $228.75

Stall And Watch Your Opponent Suffer

Enel was easily the defacto yellow leader from a couple of sets before EB02.But with the ban on Kingdom Come, the deck now struggles with big-body characters. Enel can still stall quite well, amassing a large hand size, while defending its life, but without powerful removal, players have shifted to Vegapunk and Eustass Kid.

OP11 brings another wave of Sky Island support, and with Enel’s generic ability, this leader’s price will stay high due to its demand.

Yamato SPR leader from EB02 Extra Booster Anime 25th Collection from One Piece Card Game.

6Yamato (SPR) - $229.50

“Swing 8k At Life, Double Attack”

Yamato’s ability is one of the funnest in the game, although it is a bit gimmicky. In the One Piece Card Game, when you take damage to your life, the cards go directly into your hand. Yamato’s double attack ability looks good on paper, but giving your opponent a Pot Of Greed gives them a bigger chance to come back the following turn.

Even though it’s effect is generic, the starter deck wave that follows EB02 includes a ton of support for this incredible leader.

Monkey D. Luffy SPR leader from EB02 Extra Booster Anime 25th Collection from One Piece Card Game.

5Monkey.D.Luffy (SPR) - $243.50

Bandai Just Loves Purple Decks

Purple Luffy is hands down one of the most flexible leaders in the game. With the myriad of purple support, especially those with the Straw Hat trait that directly benefit the deck, this deck has consistently been at the top of the meta for a while.

Even when you think the deck is gone, another wave of support comes right back and positions the deck as one of the best. Its only real competition is probably the green purple leader that is found in this set.

Vinsmoke Reiju SPR leader from EB02 Extra Booster Anime 25th Collection from One Piece Card Game.

4Vinsmoke Reiju (SPR) - $269.07

Go Go, Power Rangers!

There are two types of players in the One Piece Card Game: The ones who love to test new and upcoming strategies to figure out what will be good and competitive, and those who have played Reiju sinceOP06.

Although the deck is quite high-roll heavy, if you find the pieces that you need, this deck can send huge attacks into your opponent’s life as early as turn three. The alternate leader is still better looking, by far, but any die-hard Reiju fan will want this card in their collection.

Monkey D. Luffy alternate art leader from EB02 Extra Booster Anime 25th Collection from One Piece Card Game.

3Monkey.D.Luffy (Alternate Art) - $302.52

As Menacing As The Art Itself

Unlike the first Extra Booster set, the sequel only included a single new leader. Even though it stands alone, green purple Luffy has the power of six leaders combined. This deck is poised to be top dog in the meta for the next couple of sets, and being the only alternate art leader, this price is expected to stay quite high.

The leader can buff itself by 1,000 every turn by returning DON!! to the deck, but while you have cards like Sanji & Pudding out on the field, you’ll be printing DON!! at a rapid pace.

Boa Hancock SPR leader from EB02 Extra Booster Anime 25th Collection from One Piece Card Game.

2Boa Hancock (SPR) - $408.32

Bounce And Draw

One of the most popular girls in One Piece is the Amazon Lily empress, Boa Hancock, and her fan base is quite passionate about her. Blue cards mostly revolve around bouncing characters back to the owner’s hand, making her ability to draw whenever that happens, can be quite strong.

Sadly, Hancock is playing for the crimes that the blueOP01 Doflamingo deckcaused, and is now only able to play a single Jinbe, but players have found ways around the restriction by including more removal and bigger body characters.

Monkey D. Luffy Manga Rare from EB02 Extra Booster Anime 25th Collection from One Piece Card Game.

1Monkey.D.Luffy (Manga) - $1,030.74

Gum-Gum Jet Pistol!

Another set, another manga Luffy. Luckily it’s not a repeat of a previous Luffy form, being its Gear 2nd, and the steam coming out of his body looks even better with the manga background. This card is extremely powerful in the green purple Luffy deck, making it that much more expensive.

Extra Boosters have a tendency to be short-printed, so the chances of pulling the coveted manga are reduced quite a bit, if you’re looking to play one of the best decks in the format at its max rarity, then be prepared to drop at least $5,000 for a playset.
