The Lord of the Ringsmovies provided us with some of the most memorable scenes in cinema history. However, none of them have been deemed notable enough to be turned into a Funko Pop Deluxe Moment. That all changes this week when the trilogy’s first-ever Pop Moment will be available to buy, and it’s modeled after a scene even the most casual LOTR fan will instantly recognize.

There are a lot of shots to choose from when it comes to iconic Lord of the Rings scenes. Frodo holding The One Ring over the fires of Mount Doom, perhaps even Gandalf’s stand-off with a Balrog. Funko will probably have to wait if it wants that one sinceLego just nabbed the idea for its first-ever Lord of the Rings book nook set.

The scene Funko has selected is also from The Fellowship of the Ring, it’s just a much less fiery one. The scene getting the Pop Moment treatment is from very early on in the trilogy when the Hobbits - Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin are still together - cowering in fear that what will end up becoming a long and epic journey is about to come to a premature end thanks to a nearby Nazgul Ringwraith.

A lot of new The Lord of the Rings Funko Pops are dropping this week

Including the franchise’s first-ever Pop Deluxe Moment

Running from the Ringwraith, the very Ring he’s looking for in their possession, the Hobbits resort to hiding under a tree root, the Mordor native mere feet away from them on horseback.Funko Popsof all four Hobbits plus the Ringwraith are included in the Pop Moment, but as is the case with Pop Moments from other series, the characters are fixed in place so that it perfectly captures the moment it’s trying to replicate.

While the Fellowship Pop Moment is the headliner, it’s far from the only Lord of the Rings collectible Funko dropping this week. New Frodo and Gollum Funko Pops have also been revealed, each of which has the iconic characters sitting on a large Funko replica of The One Ring. The elvish inscription around the outside is included in the design, and glows like it does in the movies when you turn out the lights.

Also included in this week’s LOTR Pop drops is something between a regular figure and a Pop Moment as it pulls from both categories. Lurtz, one of the trilogy’s most famous orcs, has been turned into a Funko figure, which will come paired with an Orthanc model, Saruman’s tower at the center of Isengard (you just sang “we’re taking the Hobbits to Isengard in your head, didn’t you?). There will also be a new Gimli Pop that will be exclusively available through Funko’s website.

Exact release times and prices for all of these new Lord of the Rings Funko Pops haven’t been revealed, but they will likely be available to buy or pre-order from Wednesday. The Pop Moment will almost certainly be the most expensive item among the reveals, likely getting a $69.99 price tag if other recently revealed Pop Moments are anything to go by.
