Fans Loved Ellie And Nora’s Brutal Scene
After being chased by some Seraphites, Ellie stumbles upon the hospital, where she confrontsTati Gabrielle’s Noraafter sneaking in. A chase ensues, resulting in Nora getting trapped in a spore-ridden corridor, gasping for air while Ellie stands over her menacingly. We all remember how brutal that scene was in the game, and Bella Ramsey brought it to life brilliantly. So much so, that they might have won over some haters.
“Bella, you absolutely bodied that scene,” said a post on Reddit. “I was cautionary about the writing of Ellie so far, but you absolutely nailed it. The cold stare, the slow monotone voice switching to pure anger, all of it. Great work.” The scene showed just how cold and brutal Ellie had become after Joel’s murder, and fans loved Ramsey’s depiction of it.
“Yes, I loved it! I only wish we got the “…I can make it quick, or I can make it so much worse” line. But still spectacularly done,” said a comment. “Yes, I loved it! I only wish we got the “…I can make it quick, or I can make it so much worse” line. But still spectacularly done.”
“I don’t know if it’s a change in Bella’s acting, the directing, the cinematography, something else, or some combination of the above,” said another “But they did a much, much better job of making Ellie seem threatening and lethal, something I feel has been lacking so far this season.”
It’s no secret that many weren’t happy with Ramsey’s casting and portrayal of Ellie. However, seeing them enact one of the game’s most brutal scenes so brilliantly may have just swayed some fans.
