Disney movies tend to share motivational things or discuss important topics in a way that doesn’t make the audience feel like they’re watching something serious. Some of the best Disney movies handle controversial topics with such ease that you will understand the point while enjoying yourself.

Disney tries to keep most of its movies lighthearted and enjoyable for everyone. Some of the funniestDisney movieshave the most important messages you would absorb while laughing hysterically. This is a good approach, as viewers would get an important life lesson while having fun.

The Parr family ready to fight in The Incredibles.

8The Incredibles

The Incredibles is one of the best tellings of a superhero movie as it makes the characters significantly relatable to you. The starting scene shows the main character Bob on the way to his wedding, but one thing leads to another, and superheroes get banned. Bob gets married and lives a boring life with his wife and kids.

That changes when he’s dragged into the superhero business once again and gets a new costume made. The villain is a previous fan of Bob and is hilariously evil as he wants to kill superheroes, but also be seen as a superhero by the public. The movie has many comedic elements, likethe superhero Frozonelooking for his suit and Edna testing suits that she made for Bob’s family.

7The Lion King

The Lion King may be a revenge story where the young prince reclaims his kingdom and resolves his guilt over his father’s death. However, the motivational movie has comedic elements that put it on par with some of the funniest Disney movies. The characters of Timon and Pumbaa are the biggest source of comedy in the film.

From the Hakuna Matata lifestyle to their slapstick comedy, they ensure viewers can’t stop laughing. Even the villain Scar, who is evil, has funny moments that make the seriousness a little bearable. The movie is the whole package and combines themes of motivation, revenge, action, and comedy, all into one.

Remi making soup in Ratatouilli.

6Ratatouille

Ratatouille tells the story of a rat, Remy, and a garbage boy, Alfredo Linguini, who form an unexpected partnership when the latter is made a chef and doesn’t know how to cook. The rat tries to teach Linguini to cook, but since the chef is unable to understand him, it makes for funny moments.

Remy hilariously controls Linguini like a puppet by pulling his hair while hiding under his toque. The movie has its serious and dramatic moments, but is a lighthearted and fun film that is all about a rat’s love for cooking.

Dory in Finding Nemo.

5Finding Nemo

Finding Nemo is one of Disney’s more emotional tales as it tells the story of a father’s search for his son, who was taken from him. Marlon is an overprotective father because of a vow he made when he lost his wife. This causes his son Nemo to resent him and, while rebelling, he’s captured by scuba divers. In his search, Marlon meets many other sea creatures who add their humorous takes.

Chief among them may be Dory, a fish who has short-term memory loss and decides to help Marlon. Dory’s memory issues and her carefree nature make for some hilarious moments, and while the partnership is unique, it has its highs.

Sully in Monsters Inc.

4Monsters, Inc.

Monsters, Inc. takes two unexpected partners and showcases a hilarious relationship between them. Sulley and Mike Wazowski have nothing in common, other than maybe a fear of humans, but they’re best friends. The movie takes the monster in the closet concept and changes it so that monsters are more scared of humans than humans are of them.

Sulley and Mike attempt to return a child who has entered the monster world by mistake. This makes for an amazing and laughable scenario where they dress the child up as a monster and end up forming a bond with her. The movie ends on a high note where monsters stop trying to capture human screams and instead focus on making them laugh.

Phil in Hercules.

3Hercules

Hercules is Disney’s approach to the demigod, and the movie is, unsurprisingly, funnier than Greek Mythology usually is. Everyone from Danny DeVito’s Phil to James Woods’ interesting take on the god of the underworld, Hades, makes the movie one of the funniest Disney films. Phil has the habit of saying the phrase two words and then speaking significantly more than two words, a gimmick that is iconic even today.

Hades is usually portrayed as a cold and seriously evil character, which makes sense given his occupation as ruler of the underworld. However, James Wood made the character evil but funny at the same time. Even when he’s screaming at someone, it’s done in a way that makes it funnier than evil.

2Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is one of the most memorable Disney movies, in large part because of the hilarious Captain Jack Sparrow. Johnny Depp made the role of the eccentric and volatile Sparrow his own and made the character larger than life. The Pirates franchise became known because of how well he acted.

Everything from the character’s over-the-top mannerisms to his unpredictable nature is funny and iconic. Jack Sparrow gels well with all the other characters, regardless of whether friend or foe, and makes every scene as funny as possible. His one-liners and the gibberish he spouts off are two of the best elements of his character.

Robin Williams as Genie in Aladdin.

1Aladdin

Aladdin is one of Disney’s funniest movies, in large part because of the late legend Robin Williams. The acclaimed actor played the part of Genie and made both the character and movie larger than life with his eccentric performance. If that wasn’t enough, each character in the movie was given some kind of comedic element to make them more relatable to the audience.

From the regal sultan tothe evil Jafar, who was after the lamp, each character had non-serious moments regardless of their intentions and ultimate goals. Abu and Iago may be the best comedic relief after the amazing genie.
