Destiny 2: The Edge of Fatehas shaken up the campaign experience with a non-linear quest structure that we haven’t seen in years. Once you get acclimated with Kepler, you’ll be let loose on the destination with a full quest log and tons of secrets to uncover. One of the first quests you’ll be able to start is Exile’s Accord Strangelet, an introduction to the destination’s Relocator cannon.

Completing this quest can be somewhat confusing due to Kepler’s layout and inconsistent waypoints, but we’re here to help. This guide will go over how to start this quest, give a brief overview of how to start each mission tied to the quest, and explain how to complete some of the harder encounters in each mission.

Destiny 2 The Exile’s Accord Strangelet Quest

Starting The Exile’s Accord Strangelet

You’ll gain access to this questline upon completing the introductory quest for The Edge of Fate.Once you unlock the Calera hub, complete the main story quest until you’re able to access the Altar of Relativity. You’ll gain access to it after a short conversation with Orin. Once active, you’ll be able to claim a couple of quests from the altar. One of them will be Exile’s Accord Strangelet.

You can complete the questlines in any order you so choose. For this guide, we’ll be focusing on the Strangelet quest. To start it,head to the Curtilage Divide on the southeast corner of Kepler and speak to Lodi. The map gives a clear path of where to go.

Destiny 2 Augur’s Bethel Ether Tank

Engage The Exiles To Acquire Relocator Tech

Lodi has eyes on a small outpost of Exiled Fallen who are integrating Dark Matter with some of their tech. It’s your job to take them out and use the tech as your own. Inside the facility will be a number of Fallen generators that you’ll need to activate usingConductive Charges, blue orbs that drop from slain Fallen. Eliminate the enemies, pick up the orbs, then stand near the generators marked on your HUD to start charging them.

Now that the first generator is charged, a wave of Fallen should spawn on an upper platform nearby. Take them out andenter a small dome-shaped room to destroy a generator. This will activate a Matterspark pylon. Use it to turn into an Arc ball, then enter the tube that’s directly across the platform. This will lead you to a room with a terminal that will unlock other generators in the arena. Repeat this process until every generator is charged.

Destiny 2 Gouge Relocator Puzzle

Your next step is to get your hands on a Relocator cannon. Head to the star waypoint on your HUD to reach a room with a dormant cannon. Activate the nearby panels to unlock theRelocator cannon, a weapon that can activate teleporters in the arena. Grab the cannon andlook for a gap in the wall you’re able to shoot through. You’re aiming for the Fallen splicer wall that’s across the room you’re stuck in. Hitting it will charge the teleporter beside you, allowing you to escape. Use it to leave the area and speak with Lodi just outside the compound.

Sabotage The House Of Exile’s Arc Refinery

This step will require you to complete the “Transient” mission in Exile’s Accord, but getting there can be a little tricky. From Curtilage Divide, use the Matterspark pylon to make your way through the tunnel into the outskirts of Exile’s Accord. You’ll be blocked by a laser grid, but you can bypass that with a nearby Relocator cannon. Grab the cannon, charge the plate, thenbacktrackto a Matterspark pylon to become an Arc ball again.

In the new room you just opened, there will be a generator you can charge by attacking it in Matterspark form. Do this until the teleporter across the way unlocks. Transform back into a Guardian, jump across the gap, and head into the gap on your right to grab another Relocator cannon. You can activate a teleporter plate across the laser grid that blocks the path. Teleport across, run back to grab another cannon, then run into the room you just unlocked to activate yet another teleporter.

Destiny 2 Gouge Servitor Encounter

Complete The Transient Mission

Transient is a fairly short mission that features a puzzle and boss encounter. The only tricky part is the last section where you need to overload a generator. When you enter the room, grab the Relocator cannon next to the base of the generator.

Turn around and look for a Relocator plate inside the circular structure. Activate the plate, hop inside, then use the Matterspark pylon within to turn into a ball.Charge the two batteries flanking the generator on the upper floor before destroying it.This will start a fairly short combat encounter against a Fallen Captain miniboss. Kill them to finish the mission.

Destiny 2 Giver’s Bounty Boss

Reach The Saturnism Mission

Once again, getting to the mission is harder than the mission itself. To reach this part, you’ll need to travel toAugur’s Bethelon the eastern edge of Kepler. Once there, you’ll want tolook for a Matterspark pylon and a small tunnel right next to it.It’ll be in a small recess in the ground. On the other side will be a room with a Relocator cannon. Activate the plate in an adjacent room to open a new room.

In this room, you’ll need todefeat Fallen Captains and use their explosive charges to detonate Ether canisters in the room.Breaking three of them will unlock another door on the lower floor. Eliminate the boss that spawns afterward, and you should unlock the path to the Saturnism mission.

Complete The Saturnism Mission

Saturnism teaches you how to use the Relocator’s ricochet mechanic to activate plates. After a short gauntlet of Matterspark traversal and combat, you’ll gain access tothe Relocator II.This version can damage floating satellites, which will then ricochet the signal to nearby debris. You can shoot the round satellites with your Guardian’s weapons to rotate them. For the first puzzle, simply shoot the floating relay behind you to trigger the teleporter.

The only encounter requires you todestroy three machines in the center of the room.Waypoints will guide you to Fallen Shank minibosses that have sabotage equipment you’re able to salvage upon killing them. Getting to each Shank is fairly easy.

A Fallen Vandal miniboss will spawn shortly thereafter; no new mechanics are added. Simply kill the boss to finish the mission.

Complete The Gouge Mission

Reaching the Gouge mission is a straight shot from Saturnism, so we’ll be focusing on the mission itself here. There is a multi-phase boss fight in this activity, so bring a decent Heavy weapon or build tailored for boss DPS. Before you reach the boss, there will be a short puzzle with the Relocator where you must ricochet a launcher through a maze of fallen laser mines. You’ll need toshoot the satellite twice, then use the Relocator to disable the traps.

The first encounter requires you to defeat an invulnerable Servitor by separating it from a nearby generator. In the encounter, you’ll want to lure the Servitor into an airlock and separate it from the generator in the opposite room.If done correctly, it will become vulnerable and can be destroyed. Doing so will start the boss fight proper.

Giver’s Bounty: Exile Prime Servitor

The Exile Prime Servitor is a three-phase fight that requires you to use the Relocator between phases. While vulnerable, the Servitor will float in the middle of the arena and be fully exposed. Any precision DPS weapons, such aslinear fusion riflesand snipers, are perfect here. Remove 33% of its health to spawn a Relocator nearby.

You’ll want toaim for the satellites on the right wall near the boss.Ricocheting the projectile correctly will activate the teleporter to get behind the boss. Defeat a nearby Servitor miniboss to lift the lockdown and start another DPS phase. Repeat until the boss is slain. You can now head back to the Kepler hub to finish the quest chain.
