The main characters inRed Dead Redemption 2make use of all sorts of revolvers and rifles to kill the many people they face. Yet, most people are dangerous when they’re armed with a gun. However, do those characters have any actual physical strength that they can rely on if they don’t have a weapon handy? The short answer is that most of them do to some extent.
They aren’t all equals in the strength department, though. You can figure this out based on their physical sizes and certain displays of strength they make during the game. Using those things, here is a ranking of the deadliest characters, based solely on their physical strength.
8Micah Bell
Can’t Beat A Man Who’s On The Verge Of Death
In theory, Micah should be a strong individual since he’s a fairly big dude. However, you have to judge what you see. And what everyone sees toward the end of the game is that Micah really struggles and arguably loses to a very sickly Arthur Morgan.
Morgan is basically clinging to life when this fist fight goes down, and he’s still giving as good as he gets. You’ve got to give some credit to Arthur for this, but from Micah’s point of view, it’s one of the weakest displays of strength that any of the so-called ‘tough’ characters perform during the game.
7Sadie Adler
Her Smaller Frame Works Against Her
When looking atall the gang members' attributes, Sadie is certainly not among the largest of the group, especially when compared to the main fighters of the crew. While she is fiesty and can certainly kill plenty of men one-on-one, her smaller frame means she doesn’t have as much pure strength as some of the other deadly characters.
If you went by the characters' pound-to-pound strength, her power may be more impressive, as she does seem strong for her size. However, in terms of pure strength, she is lacking.
6Javier Escuella
A Bit Too Lean
Javier often comes across as more of a lover than a fighter. Yet, he does knock Micah to the floor with one punch at camp. Still, though, Micah is pretty weak, and that punch doesn’t work as well against big Tommy in the bar fight early in the game.
Yes, Tommy is a huge guy, but the sight of Javier getting thrown around like a ragdoll by the brute doesn’t help his reputation when it comes to pure strength. Additionally, he appears to be relatively lean and lacks the capability for impressive feats of strength.
5Dutch Van Der Linde
Hasn’t Lost His Strength Yet
Dutch is a tough one to fully judge based on strength since he doesn’t get his hands dirty much. He definitely prefers shooting folks to punching them. Yet, he’s quite a tall guy and has a fairly stocky frame. Perhaps people could point to his age as a disadvantage since he’s older than most of the other deadly characters.
That said, it isn’t like he’s in his 80s. The man is in his mid-40s, so he might not be as quick as he used to be, but his strength should still be pretty good.
4John Marston
Easily Builds A House With His Bare Hands
John appears to be a bit larger in the original game than he is in the prequel. Yet, it isn’t like he’s small in the second game, as he’s still got a bit of size to him. He’s certainly no weakling. After all, the man builds an entire house with his bare hands. He gets a bit of help from Charles during the construction, but he still does a lot of it.
Plus, since he’s a playable character during the epilogue, you get to see firsthand that he’s handy in a fistfight any time you find yourself in one. You are the one controlling him in these brawls, but it still counts.
3Bill Williamson
One Of the Biggest Guys In The Game
In terms of pure size, it’s difficult to beat Bill Williamson. He is a brute who has likely been in many fights throughout his life. In fact, he starts a bar fight in the game when he headbutts some guy.
In the brawl, it takes three men to restrain Bill, and they don’t do it easily, as he’s able to fight them off for a while. When Arthur gets rid of one of them, Bill is easily able to overpower the other two. This alone shows you how much of a physical beast Bill is.
2Arthur Morgan
Not Many Other People Can Beat Tommy In A Fight
Arthur Morgan is considered one ofthe greatest protagonists in Rockstar game history, mainly due to his compelling personality. But he doesn’t just talk throughout the game; he also fights a lot. His most impressive show of strength is when he bests the gigantic Tommy during the infamous bar brawl.
Tommy is a giant that barely flinches when Javier punches him, but he can only take so many blows from Arthur before he’s down for the count. Unfortunately, Arthur doesn’t stay that strong forever due to his illness. But even when he’s sick, he can still defeat the average person in a fight, including Micah.
1Charles Smith
Became A Street Fighter For A Reason
Charles Smith doesn’t provide many ofthe best quotes in the series, as he epitomizes the strong, silent type. The guy is jacked and could overpower any of the other main characters in the game. Just look at what he does to Micah in one optional scene. He doesn’t simply punch the guy like others do; he easily throws him to the ground like he’s a child.
Then, later in the epilogue, you see him participate in a street fight against a physically impressive opponent, who is still not enough to beat Charles. Smith gets the win in that fight and later helps build a house with his hands.
