The Blood of the Dawnwalkeris the next game by The Witcher 3 directorKonrad Tomaszkiewicz and his new studio Rebel Wolves, and it’s very clear where its inspiration lies. It is essentially the Witcher 3 again,this time themed around vampires and ghoulies, so it instantly makes it more interesting.
Rebel Wolves has been providing updates throughout the year via its Discord channel, sharing information on the game’s world, characters,and the confirmation that there will be romanceable characters in the game. When it came to the release date, all we had heard about the game was that it would launch in 2026 at the earliest, and that date has now been confirmed during this year’s Xbox Game Showcase.

During the trailer, we also got to see some gameplay, and it looked pretty fantastic. We start off by seeing some shots of the world itself, before the trailer then launches into some interesting combat sequences. We only get a few snippets, but we can see that players will be able to attack enemies with either their claws, or traditional melee weaponry.
We also get to see a couple of the nifty vampiric traversal powers we’ll get to use, as we see shots of our main character turning into mist and blinking across rooftops, as well as walking up walls. It may look like The Witcher 3 again, but it seems to have a lot more interesting ways to get around the world, which will make it stand out.
That was all we got during this trailer, but it was also confirmed after the announcement on the game’s Discord server that we will be getting a full gameplay showcase on June 21, complete with a whopping 15 minutes of new footage and a breakdown of the game’s magic, traversal, and combat systems.
