TheBludgeoning damagealone can really do some harm, with actions like Backbreaker, Concussive Smash, and Weakening Strike. Like other weapons in the game, there are also special Warhammers with unique magical abilities or extra actions on top of the base damage. 10Azer Warhammer

The Azer Warhammer may not be the best hammer in the game, but it can cause some destruction. On top of the base Bludgeoning damage, it dishes out extra Fire Damage with every strike.

Even better, the wielder can radiate heat so that all nearby enemies start to Burn Fiercely. While you cannot use this hammer, the Azer ally you can conjure carries it and will use it against your foes.

How to get this hammer:

No one else can wield this except the Azer you summon.

9Pactbound Warhammer

Specifically designed for aWarlock, this hammer can only be used with a summoning spell through the Pact of the Blade. Using the wielder’s Charisma Modifier for Attack Rolls, this hammer deals out magical damage and cannot be disarmed.

Granted by the Warlock’s patron, other classes cannot use this weapon. However, it’s a powerful option for your bound spellcaster.

Warlocks typically aren’t proficient with Warhammers. However, this magical weapon is an exception.

8Intransigent Warhammer

Immobilizing enemies is a big advantage during combat. The Intransigent Warhammer specializes in just that. The weapon’s Impulse Blast knocks nearby foes Prone after you kill a hostile target or land a Critical Hit.

When an enemy is Prone, they cannot move or take any actions until their next turn. This gives your companions an Advantage when attacking until the next round. This axe helps with Crowd Control, especially when you mix it with AoE spells from your spellcasters.

7Charge-Bound Warhammer

The Charge-Bound Warhammer is a rare, +1 weapon specializing in Lightning damage. This axe is best for Warlocks and Eldritch Knight Fighters, as it must be bound for the effect to work. If bound, it deals additional Lightning damage to the target.

Sold by Dammon, you have to wait until Act Two to get this weapon. While it’s a more build-specific weapon, if you have the right class in your party, it’s a powerful axe to have.

Other classes can wield this weapon, but will not receive the Lightning damage bonus.

6Faithbreaker

Faithbreaker is one of the best early-game weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3. The Absolute Power action deals additional Force Damage and possibly pushes enemies back five meters, which is very beneficial if you want to shove enemies off of high surfaces.

Found in Act One, this axe can turn the tide in the battle against theGoblins. The special action can only be taken once per Short Rest, so be sure to use it wisely.

5Clown Hammer

The Clown Hammer is one of the more comical weapons in the game. It may look a bit ridiculous, but it’s more powerful than it seems. With an enchantment of +2, it can inflict high damage.

The special effect can send both the wielder and the target into a fit of laughter if they don’t succeed on a Wisdom Saving Throw. If your character doesn’t have decent Wisdom stats, this weapon could backfire on them.

The wielder can avoid the laughter effect by wearing face paint, which makes you immune to Hideous Laughter.

4Dwarven Thrower

The Dwarven Thrower is another +2 Warhammer. The very rare weapon lives up to its name, returning to the wielder after being thrown at a target. On top of that, if the thrower is a Dwarf, the hammer deals extra Bludgeoning damage, particularly if the target is a Large, Huge, or Gargantuan creature.

If your Tav is a dwarf, this is the weapon for you in Act Three. You may have trouble finding it, however, if the trader isn’t happy with Shadowheart. If she is a Selunite, ensure she isn’t in your party when you seek out this weapon.

You need to pass a Persuasion check to see the trader’s wares.

3Ketheric’s Warhammer

Whenever you get a weapon from a final boss, it’s likely to be powerful. Ketheric’s Warhammer is one of the strongest in the game, and you can get it after defeating him in Act Two. The rare, +1 hammer inflicts bonus Psychic damage on targeted enemies.

you may also pair this weapon with Ketheric’s shield, increasing your defenses. By the end of Act Two, you’ll have a powerful combination in combat.

2Orphic Hammer

The Orphic Hammer is one of the most talked-about weapons within the game. The legendary Warhammer is linked to a questline, but it’s useful outside of freeing Orpheus. With a +3 enchantment, this weapon is more likely to hit your enemies than other hammers.

The wielder also has Advantage on Saving Throws against spells, so it’s great to have when you’re up against rival spellcasters.

1Hammer Of The Just

The best Warhammer in Baldur’s Gate 3 is the Hammer of the Just. The rare, +2 hammer specializes in dealing additional Radiant Damage on top of Bludgeoning damage to Fiends and the Undead. If that wasn’t enough, it also allows the wielder to cast Detect Thoughts.

Combine this weapon with spells like Turn Undead and Bestow Curse, and your party will be unstoppable against the Undead.
