Summary
You’ve bought a box ofYu-Gi-Oh! TCG’sAlliance Insight. That means you’re going to get two secret rare cards when you’re done opening all the packs. The question is, which two? With ten possible secret rare cards to find, you might end up with something that has a niche use, or a card that is going to change your competitive deck for the better.
There are plenty of neat archetypal secret rares in this set that add to the selection of Maliss cards or even give an older archetype a much-needed revival. You might even find cards that feel broken if you can assemble a deck that can utilize them to their fullest potential.
10Star Ryzeal
Get Your Ryzeal Spells And Traps Working
The Ryzeal archetype is particularly powerful due to how easily it can bring out Rank 4 monsters. They have an additional member of the archetype that can be found in Alliance Insight. This is Star Ryzeal which can seek out your Spells and Traps.
This is an easy Special Summon if you don’t mind removing one material from an XYZ monster. In return, you can bring this card out and immediately set a Ryzeal Spell or Trap to the field. Keep in mind this doesn’t add to the hand, so it dodgesDroll and Ash.
9Diabellstar Vengeance
Get A Free Tuner Synchro Monster
Diabellstar Vengeance is the next evolution of Diabellstar the Black Witch. This monster hasa very easy way to Special Summon itself, whether it’s in your hand or graveyard. If you have a Spell or Trap you don’t need in your hand, or even one that is spent, just banish it for this monster.
For half your life points, you can pop a card on your opponent’s side of the field. When sharing the field with another Diabell monster, you also get to bring out a free Tuner Synchro Monster from your extra deck.
8Chasma, Dragon Ruler Of Auroras
The Dragon Rulers Return
Chasma, Dragon Ruler of Auroras can be treated as any other Dragon Ruler card as long as you know what to discard. All it takes to get this on the field is two level seven Dragons and, from there, you can dump a Dragon Ruler to the graveyard.
This is great since it sets up your graveyard with cards that love to bring themselves back. When Chasma is destroyed, it floats into another Dragon Ruler. This is a great way to get some cards back into your hand at the end of your opponent’s turn or even recycle Dragon Rulers that you banished for their search effects.
7Allied Code Talker @Ignister
An Omni Negate And Soul Charge
The @Ignister archetype gets a revival boom in Alliance Insight, where the deck becomes even more powerful. This Link Monster is to thank for that, since it is a powerful endboard that not only acts as an omni negate, but a Soul Charge on legs.
Your restriction is that you can only Special Summon Cyberse monsters with exactly 2300 attack from the graveyard. However, considering the archetype will have you Link climbing anyway, this isn’t hard to get done. Plus, you get three monsters on the field to use as tribute for your omnis.
6Dark Magician Girl The Magician’s Apprentice
Dark Magician Girl’s New Look
There have been multiple reprints of Dark Magician Girl, from alternate arts to alternate rarities. Dark Magician Girl the Magician’s Apprentice, is not just any old Dark Magician Girl, buta retrainfor the Shining Sarcophagus archetype.
This is a pretty decent starter that lets you discard a card to Special Summon itself. Once Summoned, it lets you fetch a Shining Sarcophagus from the deck to your hand to kick off the rest of your plays. It also swaps out the Dark Magician buff from the original card and replaces it with one that uses any mention of Shining Sarcophagus.
5Gordian Slicer
Empty Your Extra Deck For Some Bounces
Gordian Slicer is an absolutely sickening card. It bounces cards back to the hand in exchange for you banishing some of your own cards face-down. It also cannot be negated. Your opponent can still respond to this effect. However, it will force their hand into activating effects earlier than optimal.
This card’s effect can be paid for by banishing one card from your hand or six from the extra deck for each target. This is a strictly going second card, but bouncing a card is better than letting those graveyard effects kick off.
4Songs Of The Dominators
Making The Dominus Traps Searchable
Dominus Impulse and Dominus Purge are some of the most powerful forms of interruptions. Song of the Dominators takes it a step further by negating monster effects and searching out one of these powerhouses.
Of course, the card comes with some major restrictions depending on when you use it. Using it from the hand makes it a quick response to your opponent’s strategy but locks you out of your own monster effects from anywhere but the field. Going first though, means you can set it, then trigger it next turn without the lock.
3Regenesis Archfiend
The Best Regenesis Monster
Regenesis Archfiend is the best monster in the Regenesis archetype. It doesn’t need a monster with 2500 attack or defense on the field. All it needs you to do is show one from your hand, and you’re good to go.
This not only gives you a free 2500 body on the board to kick off all your other Regenesis card requirements, but you’re able to also add a Regenesis card to your hand from the deck or banish pile. It also has a way to come back to your hand if removed from the field by your opponent.
2Regenesis
A Generic Searcher With A Few Extra Steps
The Regenesis cards all revolve around monsters with 2500 attack. What makes this particular Spell so important is that it acts as a searcher for all of them. It can also dump them to the grave whenever necessary. This effect becomes a generic search if you already control a Regenesis monster.
Regenesis monsters are easy to Summon when you have the right setup. They offer plenty of board-breaking opportunities and interactions. You can even recycle many of the cards back to your hand in a pinch.
1Maliss P March Hare
The Maliss Deck Gets An Upgrade
Maliss P March Hare is the best secret rare card you may hit in Alliance Insight. You either play this card in your Maliss deck to give it a significant upgrade, or you know someone willing to pay for this card. Either way, you win when you pull this.
This Maliss card provides extra targeting protection for your Maliss Link Monsters, and it’s easy to get on the field during your opponent’s turn. It gets your cards back to your hand and can even banish monsters from the graveyard, which is often a dead end for Maliss monsters.
