One of the strongest weapons added toWarframein recent memory is the Scyotid, a pair of web-slinging pistols that inflict Toxin on hit. This weapon has a unique alt-fire that pulls targets into a tight cluster, similar to Khora’s Ensnare. If you’re looking for a strong secondary that can group up targets, it’s hard to top the Scyotid.
Fortunately, this weapon is easy to acquire and mod for. This guide will go over how to get the Scyotid, explain how this weapon’s unique alt-fire works, and showcase a solid endgame build you can use to beat Steel Path content.
How To Craft The Scyotid
The Scyotid may be obtained from theScuttler Husk reward shop from Acrithis, the main vendor in the Dormizone hub.You can access the Dormizone from the Zariman in the Star Chart or the Duviri UI. If you’re lucky, the components have a chance of dropping fromsuccessful “Triumph of Dust” runs of Duviri.
Since this weapon is technically a dual pair of fists, you’ll needtwo barrel and gauntlet blueprintsto make this weapon, not just one of each. Each of these components costTemporal Dust, a currency that drops from the Murmur boss in “The Triumph of Dust” variant of Duviri. Certain Murmur enemies in this playlist also have a low chance of dropping this material.

The Scyotid is a pair of wrist launchers that fire poisonous webs, dealing pure Toxin damage with guaranteed status on each hit. This weapon features highcritical chance, above-average critical damage, and mediocre status chance.As a DPS weapon, it’s a solid option but not anywhere close toIncarnon weaponsor meta picks.
However, the Scyotid makes up for this with its alt-fire.The secondary fire of this weapon fires a web that will pull nearby enemies into a tight ball from 15 meters away—the game says it’s a 10-meter radius, but based on our testing, the actual range is closer to 15. There is an enemy cap to the alt-fire, but you can increase this limit by scaling your multishot stat. With Galvanized Diffusion and Lethal Torrent, you shouldn’t have issues crowd controlling entire rooms.
Fulmination and its Primed variant have no impact on the alt-fire.
Best Scyotid Build
As with most secondary weapons, the Scyotid works best with aViral and Heat build.Build the weapon for raw damage, multishot, critical stats, and your combined element of choice to melt anything that gets caught in your alt-fire. With enough investment, this weapon should have little issue with most Steel Path content.

We’ll be focusing oncritical damage and status primingwith this build. We start by equippingGalvanized DiffusionandLethal Torrentto aggressively scale our multishot, increasing the number of enemies that can be pulled with your alt-fire. Enemies pulled together can then be debuffed withViral and Heat, greatly increasing the damage they receive.
Use Cascadia Flare as your Arcane for easy base damage scaling.
For raw damage, we’ll need critical stats.Creeping Bullseyewill greatly improve your critical chance, whilePrimed Pistol Gambitwill greatly increase your critical damage. Throw onGalvanized Shotfor more base damage, and you have a fairly powerful secondary weapon. Pull enemies in with your alt-fire, then burn them down with your primary fire.
