After the first half of the Rinascita quest inWuthering Waves, the next step of your journey takes you to Septimont, where you face off against the familiar members of the Fractsidus. While that happens, you also meet a glorious warrior by the name of Lupa, and she instantly has a great first impression.
During the second half of the Version 2.4 update, Lupa was released as a playable five-star Fusion character wielding the Broadblade as her weapon. While she might have a lot of damage in her kit, her main role in the team is to buff the other units a bunch.
Best Lupa Weapons
Being a Broadblade user, Lupa doesn’t have a lot of choices for a great weapon since there haven’t been a lot of characters using this weapon in Wuthering Waves. However,Wildfire Mark is Lupa’s best weapon so far, which isn’t surprising since it’s her signature. While you have some other choices, your overall damage and utility will decrease quite significantly with them.
Thankfully, thefive-star standard Broadblade also works decently with her, and here are all your choices:
Wildfire Mark
Five-Star
This is a fantastic weapon for Lupa sinceoutside of the Crit DMG and the free ATK it provides, it gives her extra utility as a support too. It can increase her Resonance Liberation DMG by 24 percent whenever her Intro or Liberation is used.
Heavy Attack DMG can extend this buff and alsogive other party members 24 percent Fusion DMG, which is big since it stacks with her kit.
Lustrous Razor
This five-star standard weapon is already decent on Lupa since it gives her a ton of ATK and Energy Regen. However, it’sparticularly good because she can easily use three different Resonance Skills.
With these three skills activated, she canget up to 21 percent Liberation DMG bonus, which is the main damage source for her.
Autumntrace
Four-Star
This weapon gives Lupa some massive Crit Rate as the secondary stat, making it easier to build her. On top of that, itcan easily give her an additional 20 percent ATK.
Waning Redshift
This weapon gives Lupa a ton of ATK and makes iteasier for her to get her Resonance Liberation, which can help you with the overall cycle of her team.
Helios Cleaver
Another weaponthat gives Lupa a ton of ATK, which slowly stacks up after she uses her Resonance Skill.
Lupa Echo Guide
Building the right echoes can be a challenging task in Wuthering Waves, especially for Lupa who’s a support disguised as a DPS. Thankfully, she has some clear choices for herbest echo sets and main echoes, which are the Flaming Clawprint and Lioness of Glory, respectively. However, you also have a second choice if you’re in the early game:
Best Lupa Echo Sets
Flaming Clawprint
This is undoubtedly the best echo set for Lupa in every situation as long as you’re able to farm it. Apart from giving her some Fusion DMG, she can increasethe entire party’s Fusion DMG and her own Liberation DMGupon activating her Liberation with this.
Moonlit Clouds
If you’re in the early game, you may instead farm the Moonlit Clouds set, which lets hergive some extra ATK to the resonator that she switches towith her Outro Skill.
Best Lupa Main Echoes
The echo you equip in the biggest slot on the echo screen becomes the main echo,allowing you to use that echo’s skill on Lupa. Here are your best choices for both sets:
Lioness of Glory
As long as you have this echo equipped on Lupa, she can utilize a12 percent Fusion and Liberation DMG bonus, which are both great for her.
Impermanence Heron
This echo synergizes well with the set you’re using. After you hit an enemy with one of its attacks, this echo regenerates some Energy for Lupa andgives an extra DMG bonus to the character you switch towith her Outro.
ATK Percent
Sub-Stats
Crit Rate/DMG > ATK Percent > Energy Regen > Resonance Liberation DMG
Lupa only needs around 125-130 percent Energy Regen for her rotation in the best team, andyou can easily get that with sub-stats.
This lets heruse double Fusion DMG Bonus Cost three echoes. Her best echo setup is the normal four - three - three - one - one.
Lupa F2P Team
Lupa, Baizhi, Encore
When you read Lupa’s kit below, you’ll understand that she works the best whenthere are three Fusion characters in the team while using her,which makes her best team quite strict. As soon as you move down to the alternate teams, you’ll start losing a bunch of damage, with a stark drop with the F2P team.
Lupa, Brant, and Changli synergize the best with each other since thenext character can use the previous character’s Outro buffs perfectly. Here’s what your rotation for this team will look like:
The rotation canchange a little based on the team membersyou’re using if you switch Brant or Changli, but Lupa’s job remains the same.

In typical Wuthering Waves fashion, her kitcan be quite complicated to understand from the game’s description. However, she’s quite a simple character in practice, and here’s what you need to know:
Lupa Attack Combination
Lupa only has one attack combination that you’ll use in the cycle, and you’ll start the battle with her for the most part,which means that you can’t use her Intro Skill during the first rotation. Essentially, you need to start with her Resonance Liberation and then instantly use her Resonance Skill,which will grant you the Burning Matchpoint effectalong with all the buffs.
If you’re using the Lustrous Razor weapon, you canuse two of her basic Resonance Skillsbefore using her Liberation.
After that, simply use your basic attack until you see two wolf icons on your Forte bar. Follow this up with another Resonance Skill, which will give you all the damage and enough Concerto to switch to the next character. On the next character,you can use their Liberation within the next eight secondsto trigger an extra attack from Lupa.
Lupa Trace Upgrade Priority
After reading her kit, you won’t be surprised that Lupa’sResonance Liberation and her Forte Circuit are the priorityfor upgrades. After that, you can upgrade her Normal Attack and Intro Skill in that order. Her Resonance Skill doesn’t have to be upgraded to the highest level, but you should put some levels in it as well.
