The Huntress is a long-range bow user inThe Slormancer, using a variety of different arrows to take down enemies. Even her standard Arrow Shot can be devastating when upgraded with certain Mastery nodes, allowing it to split when hitting an enemy or bounce against walls to create projectiles all over the map.
For just the Huntress alone, there are hundreds of viable builds to go for, each with their own unique playstyle that let you tackle challenges in your own way. Below, we’ll take a look at some examples for the best builds for the Huntress, including recommendations for Slorm Reapers, Skills, and Stats to shoot for.
Slorm Reapers
Your Slorm Reaper is the core of your build, so it’s important to pick one that aligns with your desired playstyle. Whether you want to focus on a melee poison build, a turret build, an AFK Wandering Arrow build, or any of the dozens of other options, you’ll need to choose a Slorm Reaper that provides the most benefit. Here are some of our suggestions.
Big Fury Bow
The Big Fury Bow is one of thebest increases to overall Raw Damagethat you’re able to get. Each level increases your Raw Damage, Max Raw Damage, and Raw Damage Multiplier, boosting your damage to incredibly high levels.
This Slorm Reaper also makes your Skill DamageLucky, which means that it willroll its damage twice and choose the higher of the two. This means that you’re more likely to hit at the higher end of your damage range, increasing your overall DPS.
Epic Resounding Drum-Bow Of War
This is the final evolved form of the Drum-Bow of War, which is a Slorm Reaper centered aroundcreating and modifying projectiles, which the Huntress already excels at. The base stats of this Reaper increase yourPierce and Fork Chance Multipliers, which makes these effects more likely to occur.
Where this Bow gets interesting, though, is its uniqueDrum Effects, which occur in a sequence when you cast a Projectile with your Primary or Secondary Skill. These Drum Effects range fromincreasing their chances to Pierce or Fork, tocreating additional projectilesthat deal even more damage.
Bow Of The Spider Nest
The Bow of the Spider Nest is another Huntress Reaper thatimproves projectiles. Its base statsincrease your chance to Pierce and Rebound, as well as multiplies those chances. Additionally, this Bow’s unique effect causes you toshoot out webs when you cast your Projectiles, which willPierce and Rebound.
Plus, this bow lets all of your ProjectilesRebound from the edges of the maprather than just the edges of walls, which means you’ll seeoverall more projectiles at once. This also makes Rebound usable in places likethe Slorm Templethat don’t have walls.
Bow Of Concentrated Inner Strength
One of the Huntress’s Specializations is theMist-Walker, which excels in theInner Firemechanic. Inner Fires are specialAoEs that circle around your character, dealing damage to any enemy they hit. The Bow of Concentrated Inner Strength improves Inner Fires even further, greatly boosting their damage and giving them a longer duration.
This Bow also grants theFast Expansion Ancestral Skill, letting youimmediately trigger an Inner Firewhen your previous ones run out, making the playstyle a bit more consistent. This playstyle can be a lot of fun with the right setup, and this Slorm Reaper is definitely one of the best options for it.
Skills
While the Huntress is primarily a ranged class, she also has access to several melee attacks, as well as poison and turrets for even more variety. Your Slorm Reaper and chosen Primary and Secondary Skills go hand in hand when developing your playstyle, so we definitely recommend playing around with them as you unlock them to see which ones you like best.
That said, we have some suggestions for strong Skills that you’re able to build a number of different builds around, which we’ll go into detail on below.
Arrow Shot
Arrow Shot may be the first skill you have access to as a Huntress, but it remains one of the class’smost versatile damage dealerseven into the endgame. By investing in Mastery upgrades likeForking Arrow,Multi-Fork,So Many Arrows, andMultiplicative Arrow, you can create waves of arrows with each use of the skill as theybounce between enemies.
When paired with Slorm Reapers like the aforementionedEpic Resounding Drum-Bow of War, you can take Arrow Shot’s Forking ability even further.
Void Arrow
Void Arrow is an attack that can becharged up to fire additional projectilesthat have a100 percent chance to Pierce. At first, this attack is very strong but cumbersome to use due to itslong charge time. However, once this is alleviated with either theHypervoid DrifterorTorment of the VoidMastery upgrades, Void Arrow becomes unstoppable.
This attack pairs exceptionally well with Reapers like theBow of the Sharpshooter, which gives it evenmore projectiles after standing stillfor half a second, which is easy enough to do while charging the attack.
Immortal Arrow
Immortal Arrow is the final skill you unlock as a Huntress, which makes sense since it’s one of the class’smost unique and powerful tools. When cast, the Immortal Arrow willfollow the mouse cursor for a second, allowing you to input commands for where it moves. It will then fly to each instruction, dealing damage along the way.
When not being cast, Immortal Arrow summonsWandering Arrows, whichseek out and automatically attack nearby enemies. This can be upgraded in a number of ways through the Skill’s Mastery, likeBolt of the Immortalsto make smaller projectiles with each Wandering Arrow hit orAcademic’s Arrowto increase the number of Wandering Arrows.
With sufficient upgrades, you can take Immortal Arrow to a point where you don’t even need to fight anymore—just run around the map andlet your Wandering Arrows take out enemies for you.
Tumble
Tumble is the Support Skill provided by theSharpshooter of the Wild Specialization. This skill is a great mobility option for the Huntress, especially when upgraded with Mastery nodes likeAssassin’s MomentumorGood Reception.
Tumble’s Mastery tree can also greatly boost your overall DPS, granting access to nodes likeAgility of the Wild,Precision of the Wild, andRapid Shot. Tumble also supports theRavenous Daggerplaystyle withRavenous PaceandAction Plan, letting you lay down then pull back Ravenous Daggers with Tumble.
All three of the Huntress Specialization options are great in their own way, but Tumble is especially good if you can solely rely on your Primary and Secondary Skills, granting increased mobility and DPS.
Stats
Once you’ve settled on your playstyle and Skills and a Slorm Reaper that support them, you’ll need to think about how to optimize your stats to enhance your build. Of course, each build will use different stats, so there’s no one-size-fits-all solution here, but we can give some pointers.
If you’re going for a Fork build with Arrow Shot, increasing yourAttack SpeedandFork Chanceis the most important, whileCritical Strike Chanceand Damageare essential for improving your DPS. For sustain,Life LeechandMana Leechare invaluable, keeping you alive while dealing damage.
Movement Speedis also a universally great stat, letting you get through maps or away from enemies faster, andRaw Damageis always a good way to increase your damage output.
