If it wasn’t already abundantly clear,Stellar Bladehas beennothing short of a successsince its launch onPClast week. But now, thanks to a post on a South Korean website, we now know just how many copies Shift Up’s title has been able to sell.

As first spotted by Insider Gaming, a post on South Korean site Ruliweb has revealed that Stellar Blade’s PC port managed to sell 1,000,000 copies in just 72 hours. It took thePlayStation 5version of the game roughly two months to reach the same number of sales.

In all, the game has managed to sell 3,000,000 units to date, andwith budget estimates at around $30-50 million, it’s clear that the studio has made back its money and then some. Of course, there’s definitely a key reason why Stellar Blade has been a massive success on PC compared to PlayStation, andit has nothing to do with the game’s combat (Sorry, Shuhei Yoshida).

The Stellar Blade Mod Scene Has Been Hard At Work

Within a day of its launch on PC, the game’s Nexus Mods page had been overrun by some very NSFW additions. So much so thatit outbeat Nier Automata in the number of mods and downloads on its first day. Of course, one of the most popular mods is one of Eve with no clothes on, but it’s not the only “adult” mod available.

The presence of mods, particularly of the NSFW variety, led Stellar Blade to quickly become the most-played PlayStation port on PC by a rather large margin. Even ahead of its launch, its PC demo was outperforming some big-time releases, and it didn’ttake gamers all too long to start developing NSFW mods.

If SFW mods are more your spin, then there’s a CJ from San Andreas mod available, because, of course, there is.

If there’s one good thing to come from the massive raunchiness and success of Stellar Blade, it’s the fact thatSony has begun removing region restrictions from its other PC ports, thus allowing more people to play its games. That has led theHelldivers 2 community to reverse review bomb the game on Steam.

With a sequel to Stellar Blade firmly in the works, the sky truly is the limit for this franchise.
